Remember earlier this week when we told you that the LG Optimus Elite would soon gain access to the new Sprint Direct Connect Now app and its push-to-talk functionality? Well it looks like Sprint wasn't kidding when it said that the support was coming soon, as the Optimus Elite is getting a new update today that enables access to that app. The update isn't a huge one, but it does also include LG's QuickMemo app and the Sprint Connections Optimizer, which will learn to automatically turn on or off network settings (like your Wi-Fi connection) and connect to specified Wi-Fi networks in order to help save battery life and reduce data usage.
