Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, ATIV Smart PC hitting AT&T shelves on November 9
AT&T announced today that it'll soon be adding the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 to its lineup, bringing the number of 4G LTE-capable tablets in the big blue carrier's roster up by one. First introduced in late September, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 will be launching at AT&T on Sunday, November 9. Pricing for the Tab 2 10.1 will be set at $499.99. For that price, customers will get a tablet with a 10.1-inch display, LTE support, 7,000mAh battery and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
The Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 won't be the only Samsung slate-style device landing at AT&T on November 9, as the Samsung ATIV Smart PC will also be launching that day. The ATIV Smart PC features an 11.6-inch HD PLS display, 1.5GHz dual-core Intel Atom processor, 64GB storage and a microSD card slot. Windows 8 will come preinstalled on the ATIV Smart PC, but the device will also support apps that are compatible with previous versions of Windows. The ATIV Smart PC will cost $799.99, and customers will also be able to purchase a stand dock or VGA adapter for the device in late November, which will be priced at $49 and $40, respectively.
In addition to announcing the availability details for the Tab 2 10.1 and ATIV Smart PC, AT&T has revealed a limited time promotion that'll give customers $100 off of the purchase of a connected Samsung device with the purchase of a Galaxy smartphone on a two-year contract. With the Galaxy S III, the recently-launched Galaxy Rugby Pro and the upcoming Galaxy Note II, consumers interested in taking AT&T up on its offer will have several smartphones to choose from.
