Samsung Galaxy Axiom leaks out, said to be bound for U.S. CellularAlex Wagner - Senior News Editor
Both the Samsung Galaxy Note II and Samsung Galaxy S III are currently available on U.S. Cellular, and if a new leak is to be believed, they'll soon be getting a miniature Galaxy brother. An image posted by @evleaks on Twitter claims to show a device dubbed the Samsung Galaxy Axiom, also known by the model number SCH-R830. The spec list that was posted along with this render alleges that the Axiom features a 4-inch WVGA LCD display, 5-megapixel rear camera and 1.3-megapixel rear camera on its body. There's also a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm MSM8960 processor, 4GB storage, 1GB RAM and 4G LTE support tucked inside of it. Running the whole show is Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with Samsung's TouchWiz overlay.
If this spec list holds true, the Galaxy Axiom looks like it'll provide an affordable alternative to the S III and Note II. The potential lower price of the Axiom would be made possible by a step down in its feature set compare to the other two Galaxy devices, but there is said to be 4G LTE connectivity built into the Axiom, which would be a nice inclusion. Unfortunately, the exact pricing of the Axiom is one of the details (along with a release date) that remains a mystery for now. Stay tuned and we'll give you a shout once that mystery is solved.
