Once again, the Samsung Galaxy Note II is the overall #1 smartphone in both the People's Choice Chart and Mobile Tech Expert's Chart for PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™. Despite a little back and forth, the Samsung Galaxy Note II is proving its dominance in the charts. Will any other smartphone be able to definitively become the #1 smartphone for the holidays?

MT PLEASANT, SC – For 39 weeks now, PhoneDog Media's Official Smartphone Rankings™ (OSR) has set the standard for ranking the market's best devices by taking votes from industry experts and readers alike. The Samsung Galaxy Note II came out on top for both charts in week 39, yet again proving its dominance in the charts. In the People's Choice Chart, it bested the Nokia Lumia 920 by 201 votes. And in the Mobile Tech Expert's Chart with 53 points, it beat the Apple iPhone 5 by a margin of 11 points.

The Nokia Lumia 920 held its #2 position in the People's Choice Chart. And in third again was the Samsung Galaxy S III, which just barely beat the Google Nexus 4 by two votes. In the Mobile Tech Expert's Chart, the iPhone 5 once again settled into second with 40 points. The Nokia Lumia 920 moved up one spot to third with 29 points, edging out the Samsung Galaxy S III in fourth with 28.
