Sure, we could probably sit and debate which mobile OS is best or drool over leaked images of an unannounced smartphone all day, but have you ever wondered how we ended up with these tiny computers in our pockets? Of course you have! That's where our new partnership with Tiny Galaxy comes in. PhoneDog has teamed up with Tiny Galaxy to create a series of videos called "PhoneDog PhoneFacts," in which PhoneDog EIC Aaron Baker covers the history of devices like the telegraph and telephone that helped lead to the creation of the mobile phones that we carry today.

In the first episode of PhoneDog PhoneFacts, Aaron touches on topics like the creation of the telegraph, the first voice transmission using a telephone and the early days of telephone use. Did you know that phones were originally leased in pairs because the two phones needed to connect to each other? Interesting stuff! For more fun phone factoids, you can check out Aaron in the debut installment of PhoneDog PhoneFacts below.
