Most U.S. carriers are currently in the process of rolling out their 4G LTE networks, and C Spire Wireless is no different. The operator recently detailed its plans for its next LTE network expansion, which it says will kick off in August and wrap up in November. C Spire says that will be lighting up 71 cities in 51 different Mississippi counties that cover many different parts of the state. Here's a sample of the list of towns that'll soon gain C Spire LTE coverage:

  • East Mississippi: Including cities of Forest, Morton, Newton and Scooba
  • North Mississippi: Including cities of Grenada, Winona, Batesville, Courtland, Water Valley and Pope
  • Northeast Mississippi: Including cities of Louisville, Kosciusko, Caledonia, Eupora, Fulton, Ackerman and Macon
  • Northwest Mississippi: Including cities of Marks, Jonestown and Lambert
  • Central Mississippi: Including cities of D’Lo, Florence, Magee, Mendenhall, Terry, Crystal Springs, Hazlehurst, Byram, Raymond and Port Gibson
  • Mississippi Delta: Including cities of Indianola, Belzoni , Charleston, Jonestown, Lambert, Louise, Rolling Fork, Hollandale, Leland, Rosedale, Drew, Moorhead, Merigold, Mound Bayou, Shaw, Sunflower and Ruleville
  • South Mississippi: Lumberton, Waynesboro, Wiggins, Taylorsville, Soso, Beaumont, Bay Springs, Ellisville, Collins, Leaksville, Purvis, Prentiss, Picayune, Poplarville, Sumrall and Seminary
  • Mississippi Gulf Coast: Including cities of Long Beach, Pass Christian, Waveland, Bay St. Louis and Diamondhead
  • Southwest Mississippi: Including cities of Meadville, Summit and Tylertown

It's not just Mississippi residents that'll be enjoying piping hot C Spire LTE service in the near future, though, as the carrier says that it will be rolling coverage out to 21 cities across 6 counties in southern Alabama and the Florida panhandle starting in the fall and finishing up in November. The list of Alabama and Florida locales that are slated to gain C Spire LTE coverage are:

  • Alabama: Mobile, Prichard, Saraland, Satsuma, Chickasaw, Daphne, Fairhope, Foley, Gulf Shores, Loxley, Orange Beach, Summerdale, Robertsdale, Silverhill and Spanish Fort
  • Florida: Gulf Breeze, Destin, Fort Walton Beach, Mary Esther, Cinco Bayou and Miramar Beach

C Spire originally launched its 4G LTE network in September 2012. It's good to see the carrier continue to work to expand its LTE coverage, especially when its plans include rolling service out to nearly 100 additional cities in the coming months. As far as LTE hardware goes, C Spire currently sells three different LTE-capable smartphones, including the Samsung Galaxy S III and Apple iPhone 5. It plans to add the Galaxy S 4 to its lineup in the near future, which could be a good way for customers in one of the above-listed markets to break in their fresh LTE service.
