White Nexus 4 8GB with bumper no longer available for sale

Well, that didn't take long. Less than a month after making its debut in the Google Play Store, the 8GB white Nexus 4 and white bumper combo is now listed as being "no longer available for sale." It's not clear whether or not the device will make its return, with or without a bumper in tow, but the fact that Google says that this combo is "no longer available for sale" rather than just "out of stock" suggests that it may not be coming back. For example, the Nexus Q is also listed as being "no longer available for sale."

Google has a history of offering white versions of its Nexus smartphones, giving both the Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S white paint jobs when they were the current Nexus models. Both of those devices were somewhat hard to come by, and with Google's "limited edition" description of the white Nexus 4, it sounds like the white N4 could end up being a rare handset as well. We'll just have to wait and see if the 8GB white Nexus 4 ever returns to the Play Store, but anyone that doesn't want to risk missing out on the two-toned device may want to consider snagging the 16GB model. Links to both models can be found below.
