Verizon HTC One leak

After remaining quiet about any HTC One launch plans in the months following the device's debut, Verizon recently confirmed that it will join AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile in offering the HTC One. Unfortunately for the big red carrier's aluminum-hungry customers, Verizon hasn't said much else about its version of the One except that it's coming sometime "later this summer." That hasn't changed today, but there is one juicy new tidbit of leaked information that's surfaced to keep Verizon subscribers going until more details are announced.

A purported image of Verizon's flavor of the silver HTC One has made its way online this morning thanks to @evleaks. The device looks fairly similar to the HTC One that's already available on AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile, though Verizon model's does sport its own 4G LTE logo in the status bar. One other small change is with the Verizon One's clock and weather widget, which displays a date of "Thu, Sep 5" and as well as "Chicago, 85°F" rather than the "Tue, Feb 15" and "New York, 35°F" listings shown in the original One's widget.

There's been no indications that Verizon's version of the HTC One would be any different than the model that's being sold by other U.S. carriers, but I'm sure that there are some Verizon folk out there that are glad to see that the device won't sport a large "Verizon" logo on its face. Now that we've gotten a peek at the phone itself, hopefully it won't be long before Verizon comes out and shares some availability details so that we can stop staring at the phone on our screens and start staring at it in our hands.
