Looks like the HTC One mini isn't the only shrunken smartphone that'll soon be making its way to AT&T's shelves. A new pair of renders posted by @evleaks has revealed an AT&T-branded Samsung Galaxy S III mini, a device that's said to feature the model number SM-G730A and the codename "Golden." Overall the unit looks fairly similar to the international Galaxy S III mini that debuted way back in October 2012, sporting rounded corners and a similar button and camera layout, though AT&T has added a couple of custom tattoos to the phone's backside.
For those that'd like a refresher, the international Galaxy S III mini features a 4-inch 800x480 Super AMOLED display, 1GHz dual-core processor, a 5-megapixel rear camera and a VGA front-facing shooter. While it's not uncommon to see U.S. carriers launch a handset months after its global debut, it's still kind of strange to see AT&T prepping a version of the nearly-year-old Galaxy S III mini, especially since the Galaxy S4 mini was officially introduced by Samsung in May. Here's to hoping that when AT&T gets around to adding this thing to its shelves, there's a fairly low price attached to it.
