Oppo N1 teaser goes live as new image hints at inclusion of Snapdragon 800Alex Wagner - Editorial Director of News and Content
Oppo's N1 countdown has officially hit zero, and in response Oppo has released a new teaser for the upcoming flagship. The clip doesn't include any glimpses at the N1 itself, but it does show quick looks at what appears to be an ISO test chart and a color chart, hinting that the camera on the N1 will be one of its main features. The 23-second video can be found below.
While Oppo's new teaser may not offer up much new information about the N1 itself, some fresh details on the upcoming device have been revealed in other ways. First up, an Oppo executive has posted an image of what is likely the N1's insides to Chinese microblogging network Sina Weibo, and resting beside the unit is a Qualcomm MSM8274 chip, which is a member of the Snapdragon 800 family. Also included is what appears to be a microSD card slot. You can check out the photo yourself in the gallery at the bottom of this post.
Oppo has also recently took to its official Facebook page to shed more light on some of the ways that N1's rear touch panel can be used to navigate the phone. One image shows that owners will be able to scroll left and right on the N1's backside to flip between home screens, while a second shot reveals that moving a finger vertically will enable users to scroll through a website.
The N1 is the next flagship Android smartphone from Oppo, the same firm that introduced the Find 5 earlier this year. So far the N1 seems to be shaping up to be a respectable high-end handset, complete with a quad-core processor and a focus on imaging, not unlike some other new and upcoming Android hardware. It'll be interesting to see what else Oppo has in store for the N1, and while the device is set to officially debut on Sept. 23, the steady stream of information that we've seen flowing lately suggests that it may not be long before another tidbit or two is revealed.
