After sitting quietly for months and waiting for its chance to shine under the fluorescent lights of a retail store, it looks like the Samsung Galaxy S4 mini may finally be making its way to a U.S. carrier. That's according to a new tweet from @evleaks, who just shared some press renders that purportedly show a Sprint version of the Galaxy S4 mini in both Black Mist and White Frost. There's no Sprint branding to be found on the units, but that's not a surprise considering that Sprint's regular Galaxy S 4 is tattoo-free as well.

As a quick refresher, the Galaxy S4 mini sports a design similar to its larger Galaxy S 4 sibling, but with a smaller overall footprint for folks that'd prefer a more one-hand-friendly device. It's got a 4.3-inch 960x540 Super AMOLED display, 8-megapixel rear and 1.9-megapixel front cameras, 1.7GHz dual-core processor, 8GB built-in storage, a microSD slot and a 1,900mAh battery. We can see that these Sprint models have "4G" indicators in their status bars, meaning that the S4 mini will also LTE support will likely be included as well.

Obviously the Galaxy S4 mini isn't a device that's going to appeal to the Android spec hounds, but it could be a good option for consumers that want a respectable device that they can comfortably use with one hand. There's no word yet on when the S4 mini might be arriving on Sprint's shelves or how much it'll cost when it does. Taking into consideration its lower-end feature set, though, it seems likely that the device will be fairly affordable.
