Beats Music became the newest competitor in the streaming music arena last week, and while the company had previously said that it would be available on Android, iOS and Windows Phone, it was revealed on launch day that its Windows Phone app would be coming later on. The app was originally slated to roll out later that week, but it ended up missing that timeframe. The good news is that it didn't miss it by much, because the official Beats Music app for Windows Phone is now available.

The Beats Music app for Windows Phone doesn't stray too far from the look of its Android and iOS counterparts, display notifications in its upper right corner, a menu on its left and music controls near the bottom of the display. The app allows access to all of Beats Music's features, including its curated Just For You recommendations, The Sentence playlist creator and the entirety of the service's music catalog, which is home to more than 20 million tracks.

Obviously it's kind of a bummer that the Beats Music for Windows Phone app is coming more than a week after the Android and iOS versions, but that's actually not too long of a wait compared to the time it's taken for some other popular apps to jump from Android and iOS to Windows Phone. Plus, the service ran into some issues shortly after launch that caused it to put new sign-ups on hold, so many Windows Phone users likely wouldn't have had much use for the app anyway. Beats Music says that it's since addressed the problem and that the service should now be working normally.

Beats Music offers a 7-day free trial to new users that gets extended to 3 months for AT&T subscribers. Once the trial period is up, users can sign up for an unlimited Beats Music subscription for $9.99 per month. AT&T customers on a family plan can sign up for a special subscription that allows access for 5 users across 10 devices for $14.99 per month. If you're rocking a Windows Phone device and feel like taking Beats Music for a spin, you can download the app from the Windows Phone Store right here.
