ZTE Sonata 4G Aio Wireless

Apparently rate plan price cuts isn't the only surprise that Aio Wireless had planned for this week. The prepaid operator announced today that it's adding three new smartphones to its lineup, one of which is available starting today while the other two are slated to arrive on Feb. 14. Here's the breakdown of each new model:

  • ZTE Sonata 4G (shown above): Available now for $79.99 without a contract, the Sonata 4G packs a 4-inch 800x480 display, 1.4GHz dual-core processor, 5-megapixel camera, 4GB of storage, microSD slot and a 1785mAh battery. The Sonata 4G comes preloaded with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.
  • Motorola Moto G: Launching on Feb. 14 with a 4.5-inch 720p display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 5-megapixel rear camera, 2070mAh battery and a $149.99 price tag.
  • Nokia Lumia 520: Also launching on Feb. 14. This Windows Phone 8 device features a 4-inch 800x480 screen, 1GHz dual-core processor, 5-megapixel camera, 8GB of storage, microSD card slot and a 1430mAh battery. Expect the Lumia 520 to be priced at $99.99.

Overall it looks like Aio has snagged itself a nice new set of smartphones. The ZTE Sonata 4G serves as an entry-level option that also happens to be one of the cheapest phones that Aio offers, while the Moto G is a step up spec-wise for just a little bit more cash. Meanwhile, the Lumia 520 helps to expand Aio's Windows Phone lineup, which currently consists of just the Lumia 620

To help pass the time until then, you can review Aio's recent plan changes and decide which one is the best fit for you.
