Use BBM on Android or iOS? If so, I’ve got some good news for you, friend.
BlackBerry announced tonight that it’s updated its BBM apps for Android and iOS to version 2.2. The update brings several goodies to the official BBM app, including an easier sign-up process, easier friending, 16 new Emoticons and more. Here’s the full changelog from the Android flavor of the update:
- Simple sign up for new BBM users
- New sign in screen for existing BBM users
- Improved experience for adding new BBM contacts by email
- Updates tab has been re-named ‘Feeds’
- 16 new emoticons
- Bug fixes and performance improvements
This update appears to be live in the Play Store now, so you Android folk should see it pretty soon if you haven’t already installed it. Meanwhile, BlackBerry says that the iOS update will hit “in the coming days.”
What about BlackBerry users, you ask? BlackBerry says that it’s cooking up a “special release” of BBM for BBOS and BlackBerry 10 users that’ll arrive in the coming weeks. BlackBerry isn’t revealing exactly what makes this impending update so special, but it does tease that it’ll include “many of the things” that it’s talked about recently and “a few special things” as well.
Do you use BBM? If so, which devices do you use it on?
