Heads up, Sprint customers, because today your big yellow carrier announced that it has struck 4G LTE roaming agreements with a number of regional carriers.

Sprint says that it has reached agreements with a total of 12 regional operators, helping to give them low-cost access to Sprint’s LTE network and speeding up the rollout of LTE across the country. With these latest deals, the Rural Roaming Preferred Program includes 23 states, more than 352,000 square miles and more than 34 million people. The carriers involved are:

  • SouthernLINC Wireless
  • nTelos
  • C Spire Wireless
  • Nex-Tech Wireless
  • Flat Wireless
  • SI Wireless dba MobileNation
  • Inland Cellular
  • Illinois Valley Cellular
  • Carolina West Wireless
  • James Valley Telecommunications
  • VTel Wireless
  • Phoenix Wireless

More LTE coverage is always a good thing, especially for those folks out in rural areas that may not have any better options for broadband Internet. The full rundown of these latest agreements can be found at the link below.
