Oppo Find 7 and its 5.5-inch 2560x1440 display available for pre-orderAlex Wagner - Editorial Director of News and Content
Three months after Oppo introducing us to the Find 7, the new Android flagship is now available for pre-order.
Oppo is now accepting pre-orders for the Find 7 in White and Astro Black versions. The International model is available in both colors and includes LTE support on the 1, 3, 7, 20 and 40 bands as well as HSPA+ 850/900/1900/2100MHz. Meanwhile, the U.S. version is available in Astro Black and comes with LTE support on the 1, 4 and 17 bands as well as HSPA+ 850/900/1700/1900/2100MHz connectivity. Both versions cost $599.
Orders of the Oppo Find 7 are expected to ship in early July. Oppo also notes that the first 1000 pre-order customers will receive a free iLike 6000mAh Power Bank portable battery.
The Oppo Find 7 has a couple of highlight features that are worth taking note of. First is its 5.5-inch display, which has a resolution of 2560x1440. Meanwhile, the Find 7a’s display is a lower 1920x1080 resolution. The Find 7 also comes with Oppo’s Pure Image 2.0 image signal processor that allows the device to burst capture 10 photos and then combine the best 4 into a 50-megapixel “Super Zoom” image.
For those of you that’d like a full spec fresher, well, I’m happy to oblige:
- 5.5-inch 2560x1440 display
- 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor
- 13-megapixel rear, 5-megapixel front cameras
- 3GB of RAM
- 32GB of storage, microSD slot with support for cards up to 128GB
- Android 4.3 along with Oppo’s ColorOS user interface
- 3000mAh battery
- Fast Charge Technology
Overall the Oppo Find 7 looks to be a pretty respectable Android flagship, and for all of the pixel junkies out there, it’s one of only a few smartphones that offer a super high-res 2560x1440 display. The fact that it’s only available unlocked from Oppo means that most consumers likely won’t get one, but if you’re on a GSM operator and aren’t afraid to pony up the dough for a full-price smartphone, the Find 7 could be worth checking out.
