Samsung Galaxy Avant T-Mobile official

We’ve already got a pretty good idea of what makes the Samsung Galaxy Avant tick thanks to the rumor mill, but today we’re finally getting the full picture of the device thanks to an official announcement from T-Mobile.

The Samsung Galaxy Avant is available today, July 30, at a price of $0 down and $9 per month for 24 months. The Avant is also available at a off-contract price of $216. In exchange for your 216 hard-earned dollar bills, you’ll get a device with the following specs:

  • 4.5-inch 960x540 display
  • 1.2GHz quad-core processor
  • 5-megapixel rear camera, front-facing shooter
  • 16GB storage
  • microSD slot with support for cards up to 64GB
  • 1.5GB of RAM
  • 4G LTE support
  • Wi-Fi Calling
  • Android 4.4 KitKat

With its low-res 960x540 display and 1.5GB of RAM, the Samsung Galaxy Avant is clearly an entry-level handset. It could be worth a look for folks that don’t necessarily need a super high-end handset, though, because it’s also got LTE support and the latest version of Android.
