Windows Phone 8.1 Update screenshots

After making Windows Phone 8.1 Update officially official last week, Microsoft said that it’d begin rolling out to anyone enrolled in the Preview for Developers program this week. It looks like Microsoft isn’t wasting any time in pushing out the new software, because WP8.1 Update is now hitting users.

Windows Phone 8.1 Update is now making its way onto devices that are a part of Microsoft’s Preview for Developers program. The update is actually hitting users in two parts, the first bumping them to version 8.10.12400.899 and the second moving them to 8.10.14147.180.

Microsoft says that the update includes support for folders on your Start screen, the ability to select multiple text messages and forward them as a single message and more. That “and more” includes a Live Tile for the Windows Phone Store, improvements to Xbox Music and support for Cortana in China and the U.K.

It’s great to see Microsoft pushing out this update so quickly, and I’m sure that anyone enrolled in the Preview for Developers program is pretty happy about starting their week with the first major WP8.1 update. If you aren’t already a Preview for Developers member, enrolling is a pretty simple (and free) process that involves signing up for a Windows Phone App Studio account.

Have any of you Windows Phone folks already installed the WP8.1 Update preview? If so, what are your first impressions?
