Most of the Windows Phone 8.1 updates that we’ve seen go out to U.S. users so far have been pushed to AT&T customers, but now T-Mobile folk have gotten word on when they can expect to get their own taste of WP8.1.
T-Mobile’s official support team recently responded to a question about when it plans to release the Windows Phone 8.1 update for the T-Mo Lumia 925. The magenta carrier said that it plans to push WP8.1 to both the Lumia 521 and Lumia 925 “later this year.”
AT&T’s Lumia 520 and Lumia 925 began receiving their Windows Phone 8.1 updates at the end of July, so it’s kind of a bummer that T-Mobile users are still waiting for their own update. At least now they know that it’s coming sometime in the next few months, though. Here’s to hoping that the push begins sooner rather than later.
