Do I get charged for dialing a toll free number with Pioneer long distance?

When making a call to a toll free number, the party you are calling will be charged for the call, not you.  If you were wanting for others to be able to call you using a toll free number, Pioneer Telephone does offer this service.  In that situation, each time someone used your toll free number you would be billed for those calls.

Can I receive long distance for my seasonal home?

Can I receive long distance for my seasonal home?

Yes, Pioneer can definitely provide service for your seasonal home. However, I would recommend signing up and keeping your long distance service year round.  There is no need to cancel since Pioneer does not charge a monthly or minimum usage fee. You would only pay for the calls that were made the two months you were visiting the home.

Once you have entered the site, first establish your login ID and then go into Ebill and click on View Bill. One the left side of the page, please click on Long Distance Calls which is under Call Details. Then click the Refresh icon. If you still are having an issue viewing your bill, please contact Pioneer customer service.
How will I be billed by Pioneer when sending a long distance fax?

How will I be billed by Pioneer when sending a long distance fax?

When setting up Pioneer long distance service that includes the use of a fax machine, you will be charged the standard per minute rate.  Pioneer would be able to assist you with your specific request and the set up process is a snap.  I would recommend looking at the plans that Pioneer offers to choose the best plan to fit your needs.
Can I use my Pioneer calling card in a foreign country?

Can I use my Pioneer calling card in a foreign country?

Unfortunately at this time Pioneer calling cards only work in areas covered by the North American Numbering Plan (npa-nxx).  However Pioneer is exploring ways to expand its use in the future.
What is difference between the two Pioneer plans offered in my area besides the minute rate?

What is difference between the two Pioneer plans offered in my area besides the minute rate?

There is one other difference between the two Pioneer plans offered in most areas.  The difference is not only in the price but also in the billing increments.  The plan offering the slightly lower price bills in 60 second increments while the slightly higher priced plan bills in a 6 second increment.  60 second increments bill up to the nearest minute after the call is completed.  Example; you make a 2 minute and 6...
When I switch to Pioneer long distance, do they notify my local provider?

When I switch to Pioneer long distance, do they notify my local provider?

Yes, Pioneer Telephone will contact your local provider to complete your new long distance transfer.  You would only be required to contact your local provider if you had a long distance freeze on your account.  This freeze would keep Pioneer from being able to complete the transaction for you.

    Mini-review: Pantech Matrix

Pros: 3G, full QWERTY,  total messaging package, good value, feels tough. Cons: GPS isn't free, it's pretty thick. I'm loving the selection of messaging devices this season: Propel, Gravity, Slate, Quickfire, Rant, and Matrix are a few off the top of my head, but I know there are more out there. If you're heavy on text and into the novelty of experimental form factors, the Matrix should be at the top of your list. The C740 is an updated...

    Bluetooth etiquette

Those of you who follow Noah's Bark and PhoneDogTV know that kravvykrav has had his share of dangerously close encounters with people who talk on the phone while driving. Most of us have had similar experiences, and the rest have at least been annoyed. Even when using bluetooth, there are activities that just don't mix with phone calls. Some are risky, some are funny, and some are just plain rude. When you're in the driver's seat, leave it...

What I dislike about the G1

What I dislike about the G1

I don't want to kill anyone's Black Friday shopping buzz, or discourage you from buying the G1 as a holiday gift. But I have dedicated a lot of posts to pointing out the benefits of this phone, and it's operating system, Android. I think it's time that I cover some negative aspects of the device. Most design problems become apparent over time, and may not be recognizable during an in-store test. They're not the kind of thing you want to be...

    Double up deals from AT&T

AT&T has a "two for the price of one" sale going on the Pantech Matrix and Samsung Propel this Thanksgiving, and it will be in effect at least until Sunday. It's kind of a messy deal. You have to sign a contract and pay $129.99 for the first device, but you'll get a $50 rebate in the mail. Still, it's a cool way to get messaging devices into the hands of couples. A worker at a local AT&T kiosk told me last night that he was doing a...
