2.3 overallCustomer service SUCKS
By Carolyn Pilgrom, posted: Feb 09The good: Excellent network, rarely drop calls, decent corporate discountsThe bad: Pricey, horrid customer service, warranty/insurance no help when phone is brokenSummary: I switched to AT&T from T-mobile, the network was GREAT compared to T-mobile, but I have had SO many problems with them. It too 2 months with hours on the phone to finally get my number ported over from T-mobile, all the while I still had to keep T-mobile and pay the bill. When my screen exploded on my Blackberry Curve for no apparent reason AT&T told me I had to pay $450 for a new one because screen failure voids the warranty, but because I had paid for phone insurance it would only be $299 for a replacement. It would cost me less to terminate my contract and go to Verizon, so I think that is what I am going to do.
5.0 overallOnly the best!!!!!
By Miles Maxie, posted: Jan 09The good: Pretty much everything, great service, fantastic policies. The bad: I wish C/S was open 24/7 and they didn't put you on hold so long.Summary: I was with AT&T, then Centennial...sorry i ever did that! I switched to be on someone elses plan, thinking it would be cheaper....wrong!
Now:
AT&T didn't make me have a contract! I bought a pone on ebay for $50 (brand new, in box) and they told me "No contract"....which they lived up to!
Now, I am contract free. and if i ever DO sign a contract, they are so awesome as to reduce the cancellation fee by $5 every month (so, in 10 months, $50 off the fee.) Cool!
Their C/S is good, we had a slight problem when porting my number, but it wasn't their fault, it was centennials.
No roaming, no long distance, free cid, v/m, detailed billing, and a smooth transaction.
A++++++++++ Glad to be back and would highly recommend to ANYONE!!!!!
1.7 overallNeed to shut down
By J W, posted: Nov 08The good: I liked the idea of having a known name. Good coverage. The bad: Know one seems to know what is going on.Summary: Tried for 3 months to roll over from pay as you go to contract, keeping my same numbers 3 go phones. 600 miles latter dozens of calls and still not resolved. Will be looking for another company. Thanks AT&T it is your numbers so why can you not move then where a customer wants them? Talk about DUH!!!!
5.0 overallAT&T Service
By Justin Craig , posted: Nov 08The good: Very Good 3G reception every time I use my phone and its very fast.Web browsing is great.Media Net is so easy to use a caveman could do it.LOLThe bad: The bill in my mind is a bit high priced but not too bad.Summary: With AT&T im very happy unlike when I was with Verizon Wireless which was terrible. I recommend AT&T any day over stupid TMOBILE and Verizon and I didnt mention Sprint because it's just not worth it.
4.7 overallAT&T/Cingular
By Tyler Brewer, posted: Oct 08The good: Coverage is extremely good. I have NEVER had a single dropped call from my end yet and I have been with them for 4 years. The very few times that I did have any issues I called up their customer service and they were very kind, polite, courteous and very helpfulThe bad: The only thing I dont really like about AT&T is that they are a little pricySummary: I have been with AT&T for 4 years now. I have had virtually no problems with them. Everything was good when they were Cingular. Nothing changed when they were bought out by AT&T. I will continue to stay with AT&T as long as they provide good service to me
1.0 overallNever Again
By Leah Stonum, posted: Oct 08The good: NoneThe bad: Horrible, horrible service!Summary: Where do I begin? The final straw was when I went in to buy an I-Phone, was told "We don't have them." I asked to make a change to my account, and I was not allowed to access it without my HUSBAND THERE. I opened the account, and we both went in last year and asked that it be in both our names. Apparently, they just put it in his. These idiots should be be put out of business! This is just one of MANY incidents. I'm done.
5.0 overallGreat Service
By Roberta Hiener, posted: Sep 08The good: I had verizon and my service droped a lot not all the time like when i had t-mobile. With Att i have 5 bars like every were i go and have not had a dropped call. The napster mobile is better then v cast because you do not have to pay an extra 15 bucks a month just for 1 song. The bad: noneSummary: I would recomened ATT over anyone any day because I have had Sprint, Tmobile, and verizon and att is far better
1.3 overallDropped calls
By Pam fl, posted: Sep 08The good: They used to be Cingular and all was excellent when they were. The bad: Daily dropped calls, 1-2 bars most of the time.Poor reception. Equipment not what it used to be. Over priced.Summary: I must change to a better carrier. I have to have clear, consistent service at all times.
1.0 overallThey stink
By Kelly Procida, posted: Sep 08The good: noneThe bad: Poor reception lots of dropped calls. Cingular was better before AT&T came.Summary: When Cingular became AT&T, my plans "expired" tripling my phone bill. Customer service was rude. My call dropped while I was talking to them so they cancelled my plan instead of fixing it.
4.7 overallEXCELLENT!!!
By Nat G, posted: Sep 08The good: Great coverage! Never had a problem with dropped calls! The bad: They charge too much for the extrasSummary: I've had it for 4 years now, and I have no complaints, when ever they charged me for stuff that wasn't it was taken cared of immediately. They have great phones, none of the cheap ones, The service is great I have excellent coverage, The rollover is very helpful when sometimes I have a crazy month! Just overall great. I've had Sprint and I hated it, I've had Verizon and it was so expensive.
