2.3 overallCheap but expect issues
By Anthony Apice, posted: Mar 12I've been with Boost for over 2 years now. It's been relatively smooth sailing until late. I've always had some issues crop up with sending/receiving texts every other month or so but it was usually resolved rather quickly. It was never even worth a call into customer service (thank goodness because that's a NIGHTMARE). For what I'm paying a month I can accept little blips like this. Recently however, both cell service and receiving texts have been a major issue. My phone was useless for over two weeks at one point and now I'm still having issues with texts. Getting a Boost rep on the phone is a LOT more troublesome then it should be. Once you do get a rep, I have to say they are always pleasant and rather chipper considering what they are doing. A good attitude only makes up slightly for their incompetence however and the managers aren't nearly as pleasant should you need to escalate the call. Anyway, for essentially not having a phone for two weeks and still having issues with the service, I was awarded a whopping $10 credit to my account. Even after arguing that was the best they can offer. Frankly, I thought it was insulting. So, for years I've been accepting of slightly shotty service for the deep savings but now I'm thinking it's worth it to pay a bit more. If you can deal with the occasional headache, Boost will certainly help your wallet, but I'm over it.- 4.3 overall
Great value and quality with average customer service.
By Kevin Crouse, posted: Mar 12I have had Boost mobile for about 5 years now. I previously had Nextel and my provider before that was Verizon. The quality and value of Boost is great, the customer service is lacking some as I have had a few issues with them but nothing serious. Honestly I had worst customer service and issues with Verizon. I couldn't be happier with my Boost plan I had the shrinkage plan since it was released. For the price it just can't be beat with great quality, value, and average customer service. - 4.3 overall
I love it!
By Paul Trebing, posted: Feb 12I don't understand what problems the other folks had. I had Sprint for 8 years and after many billing issues, I went to an all inclusive plan from Boost. Since it uses the same Sprint CDMA towers, I figured I would get the same great service. I was right. The key to getting better customer service is to go to the Sprint store and get the in store reps to help you instead of going to the call in service. When I was with Sprint, I only called customer care when there was a billing issue, which was EVERY month. With Boost, there are no overages, so I can handle my bill from the website. Keep in mind, not all phone companies are the same. YOU have to figure the best way to deal with them. With Boost you will get no overages like you would with Verizon or Sprint, so no surprises. - 1.0 overall
Horrible Company ..Ran BY IDIOTS
By CoachDee08, posted: Feb 12boost mobile may be cheap ,but the customer service you receive is ridiculously slow and and unaware of their products and services…frankly its just not worth it. with an automated system that almost makes blowing your own brains out ..easier than repeatedly pressing endless buttons… so if next time your at radioshack or anywhere boost mobile devices are sold…Dont LOOK , JUST WALK AWAY..its not worth your Health
1.7 overallYou're rolling the dice
By jcasetnl, posted: Feb 12If you're in a good coverage area then Boost is a nice bargain. I'm not, and the phone I bought is advertised as having wifi calling, but Boost doesn't support it. You would think as the model (Replenish) is advertised on Samsung's own site as having this feature that Boost would point out they don't support it to avoid customer confusion. Customer service is practically non-existent with Boost, so if you run into a problem, get ready for a painful experience. Pretty much the only way to resolve any sort of service or phone issue is to cancel your service and return the phone, which I did. I guess the best thing I can say about Boost is that since there is no contract, at least you can limit your losses.- 1.0 overall

Changed for better price & coverage,...
By stasjuice, posted: Feb 12I recently left T-Mobile (since 2001 when they were Voice Stream) for Boost. I live in FL and I could barely receive calls in my own home unless I turned on the WIFI calling, and even then I got terrible reception. I decided that it was time for a change and that I didnt want to pay $100.00 or more a month for a cell phone. I shopped around and was already using Virgin Mobile (who uses the same towers) and found out about Boost's shrinking plan. Teamed up with the great service I was already getting I decided to go with Boost. For a pre-paid service I honestly cant complain. With T-Mobile I had great service back in Philly, but here in SWFL they just didnt cut it. Boost works well, $55 a month for unlimited everything,... cant beat it. Of course the phones arent as great as the T-Mobile phones (better processors, technology, Android updates, and 4G capability)and they dont get as many newer phones as other carriers do as often as they do, but you get what you pay for. I myself am content with the Samsung Transform Ultra and havent had any problems with my phone nor my service. I cut my cell phone bill by more then half this year & am happy with what I have. Do your research and see what works for you. I have yet to have a need to talk to customer service so I dont have a rating for them. Not sure how old these other reviews are but I got my phone in January of 2012. Hope I was of some help in your decision making,...

Great Experiance
By Chris Moore, posted: Feb 12I love my LG Optimus and I use it as a WIFI hotspot and can also tether it for faster speeds but you cant beat a 100 dollar phone that costs 300 normally and unlock it to do all of what the 500 dollar plus phones do. For 55 dollars a month unlimited everything is hard to beat. I am comming from 3 years with Tmobile which I loved they just dont have enough coverage out here in the boonies where I now live, and SPRINT happens to cover it so, Boost works for me! great deal, get-er-done
1.0 overallNightmare
By dex1, posted: Feb 12 - updated: Feb 12The service is ok but the phones are crap. The customer service is just as bad. Their refund policy just stinks. I had a phone that just would not work and the 4th day after I bought it and tried to return it. They said I was a day late, and five minutes over the 30 minute use. I was so upset for not being able to get a refund at boost mobile in Spring Valley CA Sweetwater road that I told them to keep the phone. Its junk anyways. What a joke!!
