Coverage

Posted on: October 4th, 2006 by Mary Weeler

The good: 99% coverageThe bad: 1% non coverageSummary: I cannot get total coverage all over Collier County. Coverage in Naples is good, but else where in Collier County is not so good. Perhaps with an antenna, reception would be better, but I would have to try it for further evaluation.

The good: very good service, clear callsThe bad: not able to get out when in lower areasSummary: overall i am very pleased with this service. i seem to get out even when trailriding with my horse in some pretty woodsy places. the price of their plans are good and the customer service people have always been very friendly and helpful.

Cellular One

The good: GSM networkThe bad: signal strength is not very strongSummary: Sometime, there's no signal in my office. I have to walk out the building to make a call, even I stand beside the window. The rate is higher, and very few choices on free phones. The biggest problem is it uses 850 Mhz, that makes my original tri-band fancy Nokia smartphone useless!

Not other choice

Posted on: September 24th, 2006 by weiming zhao

The good: In Houghton area, there are only two choices: alltel & cellular one.The signal is better than AlltelThe bad: More expense than T-Mobile, Cingular, etc. The worst is you need a quad-band cellphone. They use a non-popular radio frequencySummary: If large carrier provides service in here, I'll switch to them.

Good service

Posted on: September 20th, 2006 by johnny isaacs

The good: Nice customer service, good features. The bad: Bad on dropping calls, not great at keeping singals atleats where i live.Summary: I like the service overall, but i get alot of dropped calls atleast when im at home. When im in town the singnal stays pretty strong, but the closer to home i get,the less of a singnal i have which is really annoying.Since i use my phone more when im at home than i do anywhere else, not being able to keep a singnal frustrates me alot. They do have really good customer service atleast from what times ive had to contact them, they have been really good at helping me out. They have good features as well,i really make use of the mobile to mobile with my girlfriend. And they let you upgrade to a new phone after so many months or so,which is also nice if you want a new phone for whatever reason. In the end Cell One is a nice service with a couple of flaws i guess but i like them and ive been with them for almost a year now and i dont plan on making a switch anytime soon.

Cell Phone Service with Cellular One

Posted on: August 23rd, 2006 by Anonymous

The good: It is relatively a good plan with enough minutes for my use and my husband's use.The bad: Not enough towers in the area make it difficult to get a good signal the closer I get to home. It is a small rural area with lots of hills, but I travel everyday to South Dakota to work and it works on about 1/2 the trip. I do like having it when I travel to Omaha to visit my daughter.Summary: It is probably about as good as any other plan out there, it's just there aren't enough towers to keep a constant signal. I guess you have to take the good with the bad of living in a rural setting.
