Customer Service is nonexistent and they constantly demand your payment is overdue when it isn't.By Arizona Mildman, posted: Oct 13Cricket payment had to be done by phone on 10-26-2013 because the website wouldn't process my payment and kept telling me to enter an exact amount after my checking the amount due over and over. When I got frustrated and tried to call, my phone service was cut off. My due date, according to the website previously was 10-28-2013. This is the same thing that happens periodically when someone is demanding payment stating that my payment is overdue when it isn't. Cricket shanghais your payment early by cutting off your phone service and forcing you to pay or not be able to use your phone, even when you attempt to make payment by the website, it refuses it and the website gives you inaccurate error messages but the due date has not even arrived. When you try to call the store that cut your service off early they won't answer the phone and then your phone service gets suspended. If this happens to you, don't bother to make a payment, drive to the store and shove the phone up the lead salesman's ass because he is likely the asshole who cut your phone service off early trying to demand payment that isn't due.

Completely incompetent organizationBy nataku83, posted: Sep 13I recently switched to Cricket due to the very attractive sale on the Samsung Galaxy Admire 2 phone. While they were able to lure me in with a cheap phone, Cricket has completely failed to deliver in every other conceivable way. Just to summarize the issues I've had: 1) I purchased my phone from Cricket's website. At the time, Cricket required that I pay for the phone and the first month's service at the same time. This apparently created a Cricket account for me at the time of purchase. The phone they sent me was never associated with the account that was created and so I was not able to activate it upon receipt. I was eventually able to activate it with the help of a customer service representative, but he was extremely rude. 2) Cricket started my plan month as soon as I placed the order for the phone - NOT when the phone was activated. By the time I was able to active the phone, I had already lost almost 3 weeks of the month I had paid for. 3) Cricket's web portal is completely useless. I was unable to associate my phone with my account and I was unable to signup for automatic bill pay through their website. Furthermore, their data logging is completely inaccurate and defaults to 255MB used on the start of every plan month. 4) The first bill Cricket issued me (after the initial purchase) was for ~$4. I assumed this was related to my phone being activated most of the way through a plan month that I had already paid for. By this time, I had signed up for automatic bill pay and everything went through as planned. 10 days into the plan month, Cricket cut-off my service with absolutely no notice. No customer service reps could provide me with an explanation of what happened. Furthermore, to re-activate service - Cricket demanded that I pay the full price of the plan month WITHOUT the auto bill pay discount - even though I was enrolled in auto bill pay. 5) The MUVE music app somehow loses read permissions on the music I've downloaded once every few weeks. It's necessary to delete everything and download it again. 6) Cricket's voice and data reception are terrible. I'm in a Houston suburb and Cricket's coverage map indicates full strength. I cannot make phone calls inside or in front of my house and data is usually limited to edge speeds, if it works at all. While I really like the Galaxy Admire 2 - a month and a half of Cricket service is more than enough. I'll be switching to MetroPCS when this month ends. I can't believe that Cricket actually has any customers - their overall incompetence is so gross that it's impossible for me to believe anyone actually manages to have a reliable phone line with them.

Cricket makes BIG $$$ from your stupidityBy curaecivem, posted: Sep 13I recently switched carriers and was thrilled to be able to smash my old Cricket phone. No new contract, no dropped calls, no more limits on when I can speak or where; no more throttling back on the Internet, and I only pay $10.00 more a month overall. Its funny to me how reading these reviews most of them slam Cricket, (and rightly so,) and only the occasional person -- obviously a Cricket employee -- sings their praises. How sad is it that a company has to stoop to having its employees post phoney positive reviews on so many boards where 95% of the reviewers are disgusted with Cricket and its con-artistry? Those reading these reviews should do themselves a favor: drop Cricket and find a decent carrier -- even if that means paying a big deposit. Trust me, the stress elimination is worth the switch.

The worst customer serviceBy Chris Kirk, posted: Aug 13Brought this phone for the Florida 33556 zipcode which Cricket claimed was a zipcode they covered. When I attempted to activate the phone was told they did NOT cover all of that zipcode! Would not refund me the money for the prepaid card, though never used. I hope/expect this company to go bust before Christmas. Someone said their customer service was like talking to a 2 year old - that was being kind!

Good value, ok serviceBy Melissa Bouffarx, posted: May 13I have been using Cricket for a little over a month. Love the value. $60/month for unlimited everything compared to my $120 with Verizon. Call quality has been okay as I have had only 2 dropped calls in the time I have been with them and so far no major concerns with customer service. I get texts several days before reminding me to top up so I don't have service interruptions.

After days of calling customer tech support. I went to AT&T and got and iPhone 4S . I'm so happy with AT&T . Cricket service had me in tears of frustation
