1.0 overallDon't Use Cricket Wireless, You won't save a dime.
By D Eggleston, posted: Mar 10The good: Nothing, absolutely nothing. The bad: Poor phone quality, poor service, poor supportSummary: Bottom line: You'll pay for a phone, then another phone to replace the defective one, and then you'll discontinue service because of no support. Customer service is made up of nonenglish speaking individuals reading a script. If you really want to sign up with cricket, just flush the money down the toilet and save yourself the hassles and wasted time dealing with this company who doesn't care. They have a "We do not need you" attitude.
2.0 overallEgh.. okay
By jenny alvarado, posted: Jan 10The good: Cricket is okay. If you don't want any contract, then it's good. I perfer it b/c it's cheaper than any other phone companies. I get good amount of service, b/c I guess there are a lot of cricket towers in the TX area.. Anyways.. the phones are cheap qualities though. So I perfer to get another phone from another phone company, fully flash it.. then use it.The bad: If you don't pay w/n the day of payment, the next day it charges you $10 fee. Plus the customer service. OMG!! Can't understand them much. I made c.s rep repeat herself three times and still couldn't understand her. I can tell she was getting frustrated, so I just ended the call. I wish I knew what she was saying.. lol.. seriously..Summary: Bad credit=cricket
No contract=cricket
Being cheap=cricket
Unlimted text and min=cricket =)

5.0 overallReally not that bad
By Alex K, posted: Dec 09The good: Great coverageThe bad: Phone selectionSummary: I generally don't write reviews, but given all the poor reviews I felt I should say something...I have been a Cricket customer for over 10 years now. In the beginning, the coverage was not great because they were not nationwide at that time and they don't have the greatest selection of phones, but I have always had good experiences with customer service. In the past I've had phones that stopped working or got damaged and they have always taken great care of me. My calls don't drop, I have service everywhere I go, and no problems sending or receiving texts or getting voicemails. I also use my phone a lot and nobody else has unlimited service plans for less than $100 a month. I like the convenience of paying online and if I want to change my plan I can at any time without having to extend a contract. If I were to ever be unhappy with Cricket service I know that I can get a different carrier at any time without having to pay a large fee to get out of a contract with a service provider that doesn't take care of my needs. They say you get what you pay for but I'll take a cheaper bill without a cutting edge phone any day.
1.3 overallCRICKET BLOWS
By Jason Ault, posted: Nov 09The good: it's kinda cheap when they're not ripping you offThe bad: customer service, signal, amenities, billing system, kiosks, employees, website, 1800 customer service number, the whole company...Summary: as you can see there is not one kind review on this page...Get cricket if you want to feel like plucking out your leg hairs one by one
1.0 overallCheap service because you don't get any service.
By Peggy J, posted: Sep 09The good: Convincing ad blitz in the Chicago areaThe bad: poor to nonexistent service anywhere!Summary: Bought into the ads for Cricket. Thought I would give them a try. OMG! I use my phone for business and rarely get service. The phone doesn't ring because there isn't service and thus I don't even know I got a call or a voice mail because the phone goes into power save mode and basically shuts down! I am the emergency contact number for my grand children and my daughter is going to have to change to a differnet contact person because I hardly ever get service! It is the biggest scam I have ever seen except for Bernie Madoff! The phone is a cheap piece of .... I guess you get what you pay for! I should know better.
1.0 overallBeware of the billing fees
By Scott Mc, posted: Aug 09The good: Coverage is weak at bestThe bad: No support and the fees associated with the billing are loaded on. Autopay doesn't work then they billl you to reconnect. RipoffSummary: There is no web site support and phone support? Well good luck. The store personnel don't know how to work out billing problems so you get fee after fee. I signed up for autopay and after 3 months it still didn't work andI was billed each month for reconnection and payment fees. It doubled my bill. Beware of this outfit
1.7 overallCrappy Service, Crappy Phones, Even Crappier Reception!
By Chrissy ., posted: Aug 09The good: No contracts. Unlimited plans are mostly straight-forward and are easy to compare, but you must read ALL the fine-print. They're the least-expensive service out there by about $3.00, so I would recommend trying Einstein PCS or another no-contract company first! The bad: *The crapiest coverage of any provider I've ever used... even in the city of Madison, the capitol of Wisconsin, you didn't get reception 0.5 miles from the mall. Nevermind that there are towers EVERYWHERE. Ask people in your area how their coverage is, I'm sure they'll tell you it's spotty as best.
*Painfully slow web browsing
*Not a good selection of phones, they're all using decade-old technology
*Broadband service is a JOKE. We literally live 2 blocks away from a towerSummary: I now have US Cellular, who is expensive and requires contracts, but I ALWAYS have reception- anywhere- even out in the boonies or at our cabin in the middle of nowhere.
I could not STAND Cricket! They have ridiculous counter fees and charges they try to impose for simple services. People don't deserve to be treated like this just because they have bad credit or don't want to sign a lengthy contract with a provider.
The only good this was getting rid of Cricket!
R-E-S-P-E-C-T, my foot!!!!!!!
4.3 overallPeople, know what you are looking for!
By Brian Brian I said, posted: Jul 09The good: Cheap, cheap, cheap. The bad: Billing a little weak.Summary: Cricket is a great value. I pay $40 a month for unlimited voice, text, caller ID, and voice mail. I have been robbed by almost every cell carrier out there with equipment failures, contracts, bad billing, ETC. This is simple. One price. I called about an initial billing issue (auto pay failed) and she was pleasant and resolved issue within a minute. I got through on the first try with no waiting. I love my phone, it's solidly built and does exactly what I need, voice and text. No coverage issues at all.
1.3 overallWhy Cricket Bites
By shaun M, posted: Jun 09The good: unlimited talk is always great The bad: Customer service stinksSummary: I am hopping mad with Cricket........So far as of date of this posting I have spoke to at least 7 reps all for the same problem.........I am almost too mad to write this review because it keeps bringing back memories of long....unproductive calls to these people.
It all started because some incompetent rep applied my over the phone payment to the wrong account and since then I have had to jump through major hoops to try and get it rectified.........every time I believe it is.....the phone gets cut off again.........I am looking to switch service to another company
What ticks me off is that companies spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to get new customers and they dont even know how to keep the ones they have
