1.0 overallABSOLUTELY THE WORST!
By Carol limpo, posted: Jul 10The good: NoneThe bad: Hidden charges, charges on bill change and do not correspond to your plan. The worst customer service. Impossible to get a live person. Customer service line will disconnect you before you get to person. Number for direct service is not on their website. Summary: Terrible terrible customer service. Say there are no hidden charges but charged tax on first free month...found out AFTER total had been paid. Did not use the auto pay that was set up, so disconnected phone twice, charged $10 to reinstate both times. Impossible to get through on 1800 cricket to live person. Extra charges, amount due on bill changes frequently & is higher. Terrible company and it takes a lot to make me dissatisfied. DO NOT SIGN UP!
1.0 overallDo not get Cricket, you will regret it!
By anna hutton, posted: Jul 10The good: CheapThe bad: Calls always dropped, terrible customer service, difficult to cancel serviceSummary: I had both phone and wireless internet with cricket. Both turned out to be terrible. I had the phone for 4 months and most of the calls I made during that time were dropped. I had terrible reception and I live in the heart of an urban area. There was a hidden fee which was charged to me a month after activation. I called to complain and got nowhere. Trying to cancel the service is proving a hassle. I have been transferred 3 times and then put on hold for so long, it seems they want me to just give up. As for the wireless internet service, I had dial up speed on my internet. It was painfully slow and I had to deactivate after only 2 month. I now have both internet and phone service with new carriers, both are exactly the same price as cricket and the service is 100% better. Cricket is not the cheaper option.
1.0 overallCricket= no respect
By percival st. clair, posted: Jul 10The good: cheap monthly fee, no contractThe bad: calls often dropped, poor customer service,Summary: My Kyocera phone stopped working properly on the 32nd day- two days after the 30 day warranty. I was told by the customer service agent to purchase a new phone. When I enrolled in auto-bill, they had me pre-pay for a month in advance, which is the only thing keeping me enrolled in their service. At the end of July, I intend to switch to a more expensive, but more reliable, phone service.
1.0 overallCricket is crooked
By Mary Piper, posted: Jun 10The good: Cheap monthly PriceThe bad: If phone fails within a week for no reason, you have to purchase a new one..Summary: There were five people in the store with the same problem, phone died after a week. Cricket was clueless, said we dropped it in water (not true). Then told me to buy another phone (150.00), which I promptly told him where to stick the broken phone and walked out the door. No one in the store can help you, you have to stand in line to use a phone to call customer service. I believe they buy recyled phones or cheap Chinese rejects.
This is why there customer service rating is "o".
1.0 overallUnidentidied Charges
By Lion Katt, posted: Jun 10The good: None!!!The bad: Everything!!!Summary: I signed up for pretty much all of the sevrices criket offered including the web access. My bill was consitently $25-$50 more each month than it was supposed to be and no one in their customer service dept would tell me what the extra charges were for.
I finally signed up for paper statements (which they charge you for) so I could see what the extra charges were, and never received a single one. I called and complained every month about being over billed and not receiving any statements in the mail but never got any help at all.
Stay away from cricket they are by far the worst cell company out there!
1.3 overallCricket Broadband-RUN!!!
By Alicia Dem, posted: May 10The good: no contractThe bad: customer service and policy on return fundsSummary: I was paying my bill w/ my Mastercard rather than my debit card. I failed to check my statements and discovered today after reviewing my statements that they had charged me 4x when they should not have. The first mth was suppose to be free. They charged me 3 wks later. Then on another occasion they charged my account 3x on one day. It took me 3-4 calls to get to a real person. It took me threatening to tell my bank (credit card holder) that the transactions were fraud before they would admit to all of the transactions they took out of my account. Then I was informed that I had to give them my card number and expiration for them to file out a form to get my money back. They report that there isn't a way to speak to the finance dept directly. I also have to provide them w/ a copy of my credit card statements w/in 24 hrs to get my money back. Funny, I didn't need to call in w/ my card number for them to charge me in error. It's also crazy that they see the charges in error but I have to send them MY proof. The best pro of this experience is that I was going to transfer over to their cell phone. Now, I know that won't happen. Oh yeah, it will take 7-14 days for me to get my money back. RUN from Cricket!!! The cheap cost will get you later!!!
1.0 overallTOP TEN REVIEWS MUST BE PAID....CRICKET IS FAR WORSE THAN THEY RATE IT
By Dan Rothsburg, posted: Apr 10The good: NONE...CRICKET IS THE WORST FOR MANY REASONSThe bad: Cricket has the worst customer service. The web site is useless and the callcenters have been located where English is not a spoken language. While many companies also have call centers in India, or the Phillipines, Cricket pays the least, trains the least and has the lowest requirements. Cricket support drops about 1/3 of all calls and the customer satisfaction rating is under 20%. The newly hyped extended coverage is a sham. They merely "have access" to the towers of various smaller carriers Summary: There are other companies with pre paid. Straightalk at WalMart has been consistent in service and support. Boost has also shown very acceptable performance in the service and in the support. Smart Mobile and Platinumtel have also garnered acceptable reviews. Cricket is like the insect it is named after....a scavenger on the ground...below all others. Like an insect breeds disease...Cricket breeds problems of its' own.
1.0 overallCricketservice drops one third of all calls for 63 users
By NORM NAPA, posted: Apr 10The good: ABSOLUTELY NOTHING GOOD TO SAY. NEW "NATIONWIDE" SERVICE HYPE IS A SCAM. IT IS MERELY A CONGLOMERATION OF SMALLER, MOSTLY POORLY EQUIPPED, INFERIOR COMPANIES THAT ARE HISTORICALLY THE WORST PROVIDERS IN THEIR RESPECTIVE AREAS. The bad: We have kept the data from over 60 people using Cricket. All experienced an intolerable amount of dropped calls...about 35%! When their Cricket phones would not have signals, other people in the same rooms, same buildings had service from other companies. The texts averaged a 7 minute delay. The web access was intolerably slow or inoperative about 50%-75% of the time. CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS WITHOUT A DOUBT THE WORST EVER EXPERIENCED. I AM 62,AND REMEMBER THE HORRORS OF COMPANIES LIKE NEC,HPSummary: Cricket is a poorly run company that has consistently ignored the American consumer. While other companies also use Indian (mostly), Mexican and Phillipines based call centers, Cricket has been shown to pay the lowest scale in those countries, with the weakest requirements and the worst training. Cricket has put people to work with barely 2 hours of training, merely having them read from cue cards and preprinted, useless responses. WANTED TO HAVE REASON TO LIKE CRICKET, BUT IT IS ABSOLUTELY THE WORST COMPANY IN THE PREPAID PHONE MARKET. THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ALSO THE ABSOLUTE WORST. THEIR PHONES ARE ALSO WITHOUT A DOUBT, THE CHEAPEST MADE, PRONE TO FAIL JUNK ANYONE OFFERS.
1.0 overallDon't Use Cricket Wireless, You won't save a dime.
By D Eggleston, posted: Mar 10The good: Nothing, absolutely nothing. The bad: Poor phone quality, poor service, poor supportSummary: Bottom line: You'll pay for a phone, then another phone to replace the defective one, and then you'll discontinue service because of no support. Customer service is made up of nonenglish speaking individuals reading a script. If you really want to sign up with cricket, just flush the money down the toilet and save yourself the hassles and wasted time dealing with this company who doesn't care. They have a "We do not need you" attitude.
2.0 overallEgh.. okay
By jenny alvarado, posted: Jan 10The good: Cricket is okay. If you don't want any contract, then it's good. I perfer it b/c it's cheaper than any other phone companies. I get good amount of service, b/c I guess there are a lot of cricket towers in the TX area.. Anyways.. the phones are cheap qualities though. So I perfer to get another phone from another phone company, fully flash it.. then use it.The bad: If you don't pay w/n the day of payment, the next day it charges you $10 fee. Plus the customer service. OMG!! Can't understand them much. I made c.s rep repeat herself three times and still couldn't understand her. I can tell she was getting frustrated, so I just ended the call. I wish I knew what she was saying.. lol.. seriously..Summary: Bad credit=cricket
No contract=cricket
Being cheap=cricket
Unlimted text and min=cricket =)
