TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!By Jamaal Harris, posted: Jan 12This was the absolute worst phone investment I have ever made. I didnt even have them for a full week. Being 19 I was of course trying to be independent and went out spent 150 dollars for a phone and plan and I regret it. Im screwed because I cant get my refund because of something people failed to tell me that you have to return it in under 7 days of purchase with less than 60 minutes of talk time. If you depend on your phone then trust me it sucks most dropped calls, calls dont go through, and text wont go through. You would be better off buying an ipod touch and using the text free app or voxer app to talk and text. I hope this changes your mind on switching from who ever else you have to metro pcs.

Absolutely ignorant bill recycling policy!!!By Mike Mosengo, posted: Dec 11Short Story....Wanted to change billing cycle three day from the 28th to the 1st.Guaranteed that paying on the 1st was no problem as there was a grace period until midnight of the first. Never paid later than 12pm of the day following the due date. NO GRACE PERIOD LIED TO AT STORE!!! Spent 30 minutes on phone w/rep and supervisor to see if I could get a billing cycle change to the 1st of each month. Here are the ONLY TWO OPTIONS should I wish to change my billing cycle forward three days;1. Let my service be DISCONNECTED for 7 days pay the $5.00 reactivation fee and set the date for the 1st. 2. KILL CURRENT ACCOUNT LOSE PHONE NUMBER AND REOPEN A NEW ACCOUNT. ARGHHHH..Lose service or lose the number....Don't ask I pleaded to pay either a pro rata to reestablish the 1st as a billing date and or any other fees necessary(within reason). ANSWER: Lose service for a week or change #s. It's absolutely comical that no one can give a reasonable answer as to why this policy is the way it is nor is there anyone that can over ride a situation like this....UNBELIEVABLE!!!

Terrible reception, bad customer supportBy tibha, posted: Dec 11Make no mistake, this is not a good deal. I live in the city of New York and experience problems with delayed voicemails, calls being dropped and worst - only a few of their stores are full-service stores, the rest are there to sell to you and collect monthly payments, not to deal with any problems. Their customer service is not available unless you have paid up all their charges. As for their phones, do a web search or go to Best Buy, you will get much better deals! MetroPCS phone rebates are a joke, they do not happen in a hurry.

metro pcs worst phone company EVER!By wafflesandpancakes, posted: Nov 11Seriously, getting my self a MetroPCS plan is the worst decision I ever made! 1. bad signal. I went to BigBear one time, and even a bar of signal on my phone won't reach it! 2. txt fail. My phone said it was sent, but the recipient of the txt did not really receive it. fail communication! 3. by the minute. I was all convinced to change my plan to by the minute cards so i could save more. but honestly, I went to all Walmart in my area and they don't have it! It does not exist!!!

Cost effectiveBy Dennis A, posted: Oct 10The good: -Unlimited service & features at $40. per month
-CoverageThe bad: -Phone calls are not always the clearest
-Basic internet surfing, no HTML $40. plan
-Where my old service would work Metropcs don't
-Slow expansion of cellular coverageSummary: Metropcs is on a great start, the phones are decent quality and feature rich. If Metropcs is in your area for the cost of a phone and no contract it's well worth it. Just keep in mind if you travel use their helpful coverage map to find out where coverage is what features are available and where future coverage is expected.

METRO PCS ARE RIP OFF, SCAM, SCAM BUYER BEWAREBy Susan A., posted: Oct 10The good: Service cheapThe bad: You get what you pay for, Crap
Charge my account twice for over $600.00 and it took me 4 days and about 50 phone calls to get my money back in my account. Phone are cheaper online but they will not approve your order but they still charge your credit card, doesn't make any sense.Summary: Metro PCS customer service are very rude, they hung up the phone on me several times and when you call back to speak to a supervisor they put me on hold for half an hour, then they hang the phone up. Their internet service is slow as a hell, why have internet service if you can never get to the web. If they over charge you and you call to get your money back, they will tell you they do not have any phone # for the corporate office, they will tell you to send an e-mail and someone will call you back. Well, they will not call you back, it took me over 50 calls to get my money back. I tired to buy a phone on the web because it is much cheaper than when you go to their corporate office they can charge you their own fee + the cost of the phone which I think is unfair to customer because we are paying full price for the phones already. So buyer beware that each franchise can charge you additional fee which can vary. All the fees that the local stores charge are free if you order the phone online and customer service do not charge you extra to connect the phones. Metro PCS is a SCAM in America. Their customer service is the WORST possible, they took all the money out of my bank account over $600 and it took me 4 day to get my money back. I will never to business ever again with them.

Best Deal Around!By Meghan Belanger, posted: Aug 10The good: $40 per month for unlimited talk, text, & internet.
Low prices on good quality phones. The bad: none so far!Summary: I switched to MetroPCS after having several problems with Verizon's customer service, and I couldn't be happier with the switch! $40 a month for unlimited talk, text, and internet, and NO CONTRACT!! You seriously cannot beat that deal anywhere! I always have service and have never dropped a call. In fact, while on a family vacation to a beach in New Hampshire, my parents continually asked to use my phone because their Verizon phones did not have service while my Metro phone did. I have the Samsung Freeform which is a pretty decent phone and was only $80. If you try to get a decent phone from Verizon, you have to be willing to drop at least $200. Every Metro employee that I've spoken with so far has been nothing but courteous, honest, and informative. Seriously guys, make the switch! I will never go back to another carrier where you pay way more for less features and get locked into a 2 year contract!

Metro PCS Tampa - Every call dropsBy Annie Doublet, posted: Jul 10The good: What I pay per monthThe bad: What I get for my $50. Dropped calls, sloooow text messaging and voice mails.Summary: Every call I makes drops sooner or later. If it is a short call it will drop at least once. A long call will drop several times. It doesn't matter where I am. Also, when I am on the call people say they can't hear me or I am breaking up.
When I went to the store several people were complaining their call are dropping and not being able to be heard. Metro PCS just replace a phone of a woman. When she made a call in the store and walked into the parking lot the call dropped twice. She had a different type of phone than me, so it isn't the phone, its Metro PCS.
It can take voice mails 3 days to become available. A text message can take 13 to 15 hours.
The customer service person at the Metro PCS store said Metro PCS isn't for everyone. This is the way Metro PCS is. She said her calls drop all the time, too.

Customer Service is The Worst!By Martha Dickey, posted: Jun 10The good: Cheap phone. The bad: Setting up was a nightmare. Service is not very good.Summary: We ordered the phone and set up the service as directed. Initially the phone worked, but then suddenly stopped after two hours. We were unable to resolve this on the phone, the recording claimed we had not paid for service. After being on hold for an interminable length of time, I finally went into the store to deal it. The store personnel said that this often happens when the account is opened on the phone and called the billing department while I waited. Again the phone worked briefly then stopped. Again the message that we had not made the payment for service. We went back to the store, but the agents were seemingly powerless to fix the billing error in misapplying the funds. In desperation, we paid an additional $40 to get the phone working. The first $40 has still not been refunded or posted to our account. I now have several case numbers referencing "research" claims, and am told to call back in 72 hours only to endure more hold time, receive another case number and more profuse apologies. They can never "find" the first payment and do not even check the previous research case numbers. They will only acknowledge that I made the first payment when I physically go to the store with the document showing the METRO PCS withdrawal from my bank account in hand. I'm thinking this is deliberate by Metro PCS. "$40 period?" In fine print perhaps it says: As many times as it takes for the phone to work.
