LG Esteem Worst Phone I ever ownedBy CHEPENELLO, posted: Sep 12I had Metro before and switched to another carrier (Boost) two years later I can back to Metro just because of this phone. I could fill pages, but in short....The phone is non-responsive, I can't always answer calls at times, can not make calls, switching from one screen to another can take forever. Metro is OK for the price and I send many International Text and call land lines for free...this would cost me hundreds with an other carrier, i.e Verizon, Sprint, etc. If is was not for the phone.....I would be a happy camper!!!!

Non existent customer service, but gr8 value!By Rajiv Jadhav, posted: Sep 12I've had the service for the past 2 years and I haven't had any problems. No dropped calls. No billing issues since its prepaid. The family plan is great since you save $10 a month with 2 lines on 1 account. Data speed isn't great especially for streaming video. But its ok for general internet surfing or doing a google search. Its ok even for downloading apps on Play. They've just started online chat -which you see when you log into the account online. This is very helpful since reaching a human being on the phone system is excruciatingly difficult and complex (need to press a sequence of numbers on the IVR). I live on Long Island, NY. 3G service is very sparse in NY. I dunno about 4G. Phone works in Canada too (canadian side of Niagra falls)

happy with metro pcBy TKeyserPetty, posted: Sep 12Hmmm, I was looking for phone reviews, but found this about metro pcs reviews. So many negative reviews, and maybe when people have a bad experience they are more apt to vent...but I had to respond, because I have had nothing but a positive experience for the last year or so. I have had great customer service, which seems to be the biggest complaint. I have had no problem with coverage at all, I seem to get coverage where everyone else does (att, etc..) Plus, the price is quite good, after being ripped off by att forever (which I had no complaints either, but it was double the price!) If it gets as horrible as some of these reviews, I'm sure I will switch, but so far really good....just looking for a new phone because I dropped my old one in mud where it stayed overnight, but still works, just too glitchy...I recommend Metro to everybody! I sure hope my experience stays positive, and I love that I am not tied to a contract!

Store in ArlingtonBy qweasd100, posted: Jul 12When I wanted to join MetroPCs, I went to the store in Arlington. Before I went, I already knew what phone and plan I was getting. Then when I arrived I had told he what plan I was getting and then I told he what phones I was getting. Then she said that she had run out of phones. So then I told her I would be back on Tuesday. Then when it was Tuesday I went back and she told me there were no phones but they were coming in on that day. So I asked he to call me when they were in. Then I waited for her to call me but then she never did.

Phone's not bad, but most employees aren't very helpful.By qwerty66, posted: Jul 12On July 3rd, I bought a Samsung Admire from a Metro PCS store in Philadelphia PA. I'm pretty happy with the phone, however I am not happy with the service I received. The man that serviced me seemed helpful, but I found out that he was just trying to make a sale. He did not explain the billing process to me, and even told me that I paid my bill this month and wouldn't have to pay again until August. After I put my Grandmother on my plan on the 6th, a lady that waited on her told her she would owe $12 for the days until my bill was due, never once telling me that I owed money for my plan still. It wasn't until today that I found out I owed money for my bill. I went up to Metro to find out why I owed money, and finally an employee explained to me every thing about the billing process that I should have known on July 3rd.

Worst service everBy Kevin Hamilton, posted: Jul 12I first gotten my Samsung admire from best buy at green acres mall ny, I tried to set it up the first day and already had problems. I went to the store and the man looking like he came straight out of the commercial told me to return it and come to him and buy the phone and he would set it up for me. He also told me that I would get a 50 dollar mail in rebate in 8-10 weeks. It's been over 7 months and I still haven't received anything. I had multiple other problems with the phone and all the man wanted me to do was give hi, money for some b/s I walked out and had to figure it out on my own. Now my phone is dead and won't even charge. Never will I give them another dollar. It's a rip off and a scam. I'd rather go back to boost mobile. Which is not saying great things either

SUCKS!!!By metrosucksnutts, posted: Jul 12I bought this 130 dollar ZTE android smart phone and from DAY ONE was a slow piece of crap!! when viewing pics or videos in the gallery its PAINFULLY Slow to load up its frickin template to even view the thumbnails of the pics. i paid 130 damn dollars for it i know its not the most expensive and highest grade phone i know its not going to be lightning fast but goddamn it should atleast be decent and functional!!! not even decent PAINFULLLY SLOW!!! even freezes!! screw metro im tired of this crap im going to switch to something else.

Horrible company, bad customer serviceBy Millie Smith, posted: Jun 12I have has metro pcs for 2 years now. Can,t stand there customer service it is basicly non existant. There online and phone payment does not work. I am going to change because I am so tired of dealing with this company. Bought a phone from them for $200 and it is horrible- took it back in within the first week of having it and they did nothing to help me-horrible customer service,liars and cheats. I usually pay for 6 months at a time just so I don't have to deal with them. Have finally gottern a belly full and am switching to another company. Don,t use them unless you want to get an ulcer.

Very poor warranty serviceBy Keith Knowles, posted: May 12I bought a HTC Wilfire as a new MetroPCS customer. Three days later I reported a battery charging problem. Was told to wait and see if it reoccurred. It did, so within a week of purchasing the phone I went to a corporate store to report the problem and get a new battery. I was told everything was working, and to come back if the problem reoccurred. Neddles to say, three days later I was back with the same problem. I was told to call HTC and they would tell me what to do. I did. HTC said the battery was obviously defective and had been since day one and to send it back. Unfortuantely. I have to shut my phone off for 7-10 days while the post office does its thing. The bottom line is that MetroPCS does not stand behind the products it sells to you, does not honor its warranties and basically stinks at customer support. I've only had the service for two weeks, so I can't comment on the that, but if you expect MetroPCS to stand behind its products, DON'T!
