Net10

Posted on: July 2nd, 2016 by angels7339

I have a net10 phone the phone is good and so is the pay by min.The only problem is customer service. I just hope you never have to use them. They have a automated service and trying to get past it is hard. Do not go to technical support, all it does is sends a check to your phone and then it hangs your phone up. The best I have found out is to get in is go to buy air time and use credit card. Alive person will come on if you can understand them. This service is terrible. And I may also be finding another carrier.

Horrible service!!!!! Customer Service told me that I have to wait 24 hours for them to complete the transfer. After waiting for over 24 hours for my number to be transferred. Net 10 service rep., TIFONA insisted I stayed on the line with her UNTIL THE PROCESS IS complete. After waiting online over with her over FEW hours. I was disconnected by this rep., TIFONA and the transfer was not completed. STAY AWAY FROM NET 10 SERVICE UNTIL THEIR MANAGEMENT IMPROVES THEIR SERVICE!!!!!!!

WORST COMPANY EVER

Posted on: May 1st, 2016 by Isabella

Customer service was horrible! The reps would just put you on hold and forget you. They took 3 days to transfer phone service to a new device. This company is a compleate waste of time and money. Possibly the worst purchase I have ever made in my life. Why this kind of company is allowed to stay in business is a testimate to our governments lack of regard for the taxpayers. This company uses non USA opperaters, and it shows. They clearly want to make customer experience as bad as possible, and that is the one and only thing they do well. The fact that this company is still in opperation is a crime. Net10 is a rip off, a complete embarressment to the communications field.

DO NOT CONSIDER BUYING NET10!!!!!!!!!!

Posted on: December 1st, 2015 by JamesAustralia

I purchased two 50$ Net10 sim start up packs from one of there official retailers. Once opening the package i already realise this is a long process just to set up a pre-paid phone card including, making an account, checking if phone is compatible with sim ( which many phones can not so beware of that also! ), checking if area is compatible, they need your email and password, and all these variables of it not working is at a no refund even if they don't support the area in US where you bought the card from. ( sounds crazy right, well it is! ). For us we passed all of these checks above, Luckily. Now we have our accounts and all the rest ready to go after spending and hour and a half in a wi-fi zone as you need internet or a phone from the US to activate these sim cards that don't even show up in your phone until activated. Keeps telling me there server has failed try again in 30 minutes, this went on all night in our hotel room until i called the service line from hotel reception phone to get our sim cards activate. After a 2 hour phone call reading out all the numbers and barcodes of each sim package contents ( there are many ) they requested photo of all pack contents and receipt of purchase. I provide this to them by email while staying on the line. Then they tell me there systems have all crashed in the office and they can not read emails anymore ( not even ones already received and opened, that is total 100% bullcrap ) and to call back in 1.5 hrs with a "special phone number and customer number". I call back with this special number and give my special customer number, they begin asking me for my name and all these bar codes again, i refuse and request them to open the email is sent and asked if he knew any details about me prior too this call, he answered no he though this was a new caller. I told him my story and asked if this is a common problem? He answered yes, i ask do you have a common solution to this common problem? He answered no and i won't be able to get a refund, and they can not activate my sim cards. I then asked him to put me through to the manager, he told me he is not there, i asked how long, he said "not sure", i said i can wait. Finally he tells me the manager is back and puts me through. The manager reviews my case and told me "this happens often and even with your receipts and proof of purchase we can not take this case any further or activate your sim cards". I said "for a common problem you must have a common solution or a refund policy", he replied "our company has no policy for cards that don't activate properly to result in refund of purchase". So now in the end i am 100$, 3hrs with phone in wifi zone and 4hrs of customer service phone call all at a loss with no gratitude or money back from a company that openly told me they have a common problem with taking the peoples money for there products they sell that can not be used or refunded. Before writing this i researched online and many of the same reviews by people all over US. THEY ARE COMMONLY STEALING MONEY FROM SELLING FAULTY SIM CARDS AND CREDIT TOP UPS!!

Great waste of time and money for "no refunds"

Posted on: June 23rd, 2015 by annedare

Net10 service is terrible, laughable; worse than AT&T, Sprint, Verizon... all companies I intend to invest my hard earned money in after a 2 month disaster with net10. I receive text messages at 10 & 11 pm, unacceptable. My internet pages & photos do not load, ever. I can not send a photo text message even after trying to contact customer service, ridiculously unacceptable, and I might add that customer service was a waste of time. They were so busy telling me that dropped calls, Internet not loading, mysterious extra charges, and no photo texts were 'normal' that my concerns were NEVER addressed. The attitude of customer service made me think that once my money was in their hands, their job was done. To top it off, a family members phone payment was accidentally sent to Net10 for a phone that is not even in their service & they've refuse to return the payment to sender. Illegal. Please be aware that this phone service is unreliable and treats their customers with a less than respectful mannerism. As I'm sure I will not receive a response to correct this matter, I refuse to sit by & let it happen to someone else. Net10 is fraudulent, & NO ONE should be paying for services not rendered.

Really, really, bad

Posted on: April 22nd, 2015 by shaffe48

Unbelievably incompetent. Took me 3 weeks and several different sim cards to port my number orginally. Now, I had to get a new phone due to water damage and they told the dealer that it'd work in 4 hours. Now 28 hours later I keep calling the hotline and it won't allow me to get through to a rep as there is a "work order on my phone line" and then it hangs up. When you do get a rep, they tell you whatever to get you off the line but none of them have a clue what they are doing or what is wrong. You call them....they never know what is happening...they tell you whatever...it doesn't get fixed. Last time, this went on for three weeks. Plus the connection is terrible.

Net10 Review

Posted on: March 26th, 2015 by MadDog2020

Very, very poor customer service. They are polite but that is all I can say for them. They screw up everything. They charged twice for one service and when I called trying to correct the problem they ended up charging me again!I spent over an hour on the phone and spoke to four people and am worse off! I have contacted my credit card company to dispute the charges.

You pay for their billing mistake

Posted on: February 25th, 2015 by carole

I have had a net10 phone for over five years and was set up on an automatic $15 payment plan. Last month I called them to change the credit card they had on file. Warning they are completely disorganized when it comes to something as simple as changing a credit card in your account. They billed both of my credit card in the same month as well as bill me extra on the new credit card. I called net10 to have my new credit card credited and requested to be set up on an auto pay as I have had that set up since the beginning of having my net10 phone. I was told there was no problem with that and that my credit card will be billed according to my automatic renewal plan on my due date. Today I called net10 to find out why my credit card was not billed and they let me know that my phone was deactivated. I had called net10 twice to make sure that this would not happen. I was informed that because my phone was deactivated I had no option but to have to set it up all over again and pay $20 instead of my usual monthly fee of $15 for 200 minutes. The woman I spoke to told me that I had no other option as she could do nothing to change the situation and I let her know that I was extremely upset at the idea of having to be penalized for their mistakes. Since I don’t use my phone very much and I have many minutes I felt manipulated because I had no choice but to pay the extra money or lose all my minutes that I’ve collected over the years. So be aware that their billing system is screwed up. If they make a mistake they do not have the option of going into the computer to fix it. You become responsible for their mistake. Also I want to add that I should be having Internet access and I have never been able to connect to the Internet for longer than 30 seconds before it cuts me off is

Exceptionally Poor Service

Posted on: January 25th, 2015 by matayo

Let it be known: Net10 does a fairly good job when it comes to providing COVERAGE. I live in the Boston suburbs myself, and I never went anywhere that Net10 didn't cover. That said, the bulk of the problems associated with this company are the customer service issues, coupled with the general plethora of technical problems that Net10 seems to have. Data, in my experience, straight up does not work. Even after paying for it, data just doesn't connect. This is unfortunate, especially in 2015, and really ruins the experience. The most aggregious thing however is the incompetence and irresponsible nature of the customer service. You can very, very rarely get a hold of them, and they have a habit of hanging up on you mid way into the conversation. They don't really know how to solve anything, and despite Net10 users running into many problems (such as a malfunctioning sim, not receiving data), the customer service usually just recommends some variation of turn your phone off and on again, make sure its inserted properly, and other unhelpful shit. Again, the service coverage itself is not bad, but everything else about this company is terrible. Absolutely not worth the relative discount compared to other service providers, such as AT&T or Verizon.
