Net 10 SUCKS
By Carla Burgess, posted: Apr 12I bought a Net10 for travel purposes only so I only need it 3 a year. I called to have the service re-activated after using only 1 time and was told my SIM card was bad. WTF? Really? Only after using 13 minutes? Sent my husband down to buy a phone from Radio Shack. If Net 10 thought I was going to go and purchase a new phone so they could screw me a second time, they're crazy! - 1.0 overall
Terrible service, no bars, no reception.dropped calls
By Susan Kohler, posted: Mar 12I've had terrible service from Net 10, I can't get any bars within a block of my home, which kinda makes the phone worthless, plus at my last home I had to walk a few hundred feet down the block to get reception there, and that was a whole different city. Customer service is terrible, they barely speak English and don't seem to know what to do, I complained by submitting on their forum and got no response, to cap it off they said i jusst needed a new sim card, after i waited for a week for the card toarrive, they said they had decided i didn't need one after all--would have been nice to let me know. hm??? - 1.0 overall

keeps getting better
By Jerry Manning, posted: Mar 12first, net10 is not owned by at&t like a reviewer. they lease the lines from at&t, or another carrier. they're owned by a company south of the U.S., that also owns StraightTalk and Tracfone. Depending on where you live, is how you're given the carrier. The phone calls are fantastic (I'm on at&t lines). far superior to the t-mobile i'm using (but will let go). have an lg900, and surprised by the internet speed as well. although the pages have to be small, because the lg900 (or net10?) has only a 300mb page size limit. which sucks. best deal going for casual users. - 1.7 overall
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE
By Boohda81, posted: Mar 12This carrier is a joke. I have had nothing but problems with them since day one and I have had the phone for months. The first phone I got wouldn't let me get messages after 2 days. When I called the customer service for the 3rd time they told me that phone was defected and they were replacing them as customers called in and complained. After calling them 4 or 5 times they finally got it transferred to the new phone. I got a droid when they came out, and again a hassle to transfer. Now they keep shutting my phone off because they said my number is a number I don't even have so when I add airtime it's going to that number instead. So to correct the problem I had to buy another air time card so I was then paid for 2 months but kept shutting my off twice a day for 2 weeks. We thought they finally got it fixed but then again shut my phone off and nobody can seem to fix the problem. My number on my account is still this mysterious number that someone else answers when you call it. NOT GOOD!!!

By biggiantBrian, posted: Feb 12I have had my Net 10 phone for 6-8 months and never had a real problem with it. When I transferred my number, I found out it became owned by AT&T. In other words, they are owned by AT&T. Net 10, Straight Talk and Tracphone are all the same company. So those on here who say one of those is better don't have a clue. The customer service is horrid, if you are good with a computer you will never even need to talk to them, because you will be able to do all activation and number transferring online. But my father had problems transferring his number to tracphone which is once again same company and same customer service alone with Straight talk. It was terrible, they tried to say since his simm chip was activated with a different phone number that they could not change it to his prior number. After about an hour of fighting with them because it was their fault that it got activated with the wrong number. I was finally able to find someone there that was able to change the phone number on the simm to his old one. He initially called in to activate and the activation rep messed up, it surely didn't help that he is over 60, so if you are old and not good with this stuff ask a young person for help activating and you should be just fine. As for those who complain about the andriod stuff, until the 2x comes out they have yet to carry a well reviewed andriod phone. before you buy a particular phone you should always google the model number and watch and read the reviews. Some phones are made cheaply, and this includes the low end android models. I have considered getting one but the reviews told me to wait cuz the next generation of low end androids are going to be better. And the reviews of the LG Optimus 2x are way better than the previous offerings from straight talk and Net 10.- 1.0 overall

By Chuck, posted: Feb 12Loved Net10 until I bought a Droid smart phone. The reps can't seem to fix my problem and it seems mostly because thier computer systems are lacking. I have spent hours on hold. I feel bad for the reps they are nice people with a dilapedated organazation.
