1.7 overallPoor coverage high cost
By jprevatte28, posted: Oct 12 - updated: Oct 12I had T-Mobile for 2 years of very poor coverage. Before T-Mobile I had AT&T with good coverage but high cost. I now have H2O Wireless (https://www.h2owirelessnow.com ) which uses the AT&T network the coverage is just as good as AT&T and the cost is much lower. $31.00 lower than T-Mobile for same # of phones. I am also getting free texting & 80 mb of data which I did not have with T-Mobile. I hope I have signed my last contract with a cell phone company. H2O is a no contract cell phone company and they draft the money each mouth so I do not lose phone service. I did have to unlock my phones from T-Mobile but T-Mobile will give you the unlock code for free and send you the instructions on how to unlock phone in an e-mail. So before you leave T-Mobile get the unlock code it is free and you would have to pay for it otherwise. I am very happy with H2O and even happier to no longer be under contract with a cell phone company. It feels very liberating.- 1.0 overall
Don't Waste Your Money!
By Pamela Calhoun, posted: Oct 12I recently moved back to the USA and got T-Mobile without checking into it enough. I tried using 2 different 4 G devices that inconsistently/rarely worked in my large metropolitan area. I cancelled after putting up with a non-workable situation for 9 months. Thats when the trouble really began related to T-mobile billing. I have just gotten off another site that is loaded with complaints about an automized calling system for billing that never shuts off and calls day and night with no one on the other end of the phone. Its a nightmare. I am getting calls all the time and no one answers when I pick up the phone. T-mobile's billing system is pathetic. They don't track using a monthly billing system, only debits and credits. It has taken 4 months for me to get my last payment sorted out with them. No one could even tell me what I was being charged for. I paid my cancellation fees on time and thought that was it, and then kept getting weekly bills (and phone calls) for totally different amounts. I finally went to the State Attorney Generals office which resulted in someone from T-Mobile corporate call me who gave me a different amount owed but also couldn't say what it was for. She just said to pay it. She also said it wasn't T-Mobiles fault but the local stores. Went back there and they were very helpful and got it resolved. They were the ones who explained the bizaare billing system. Don't ever get T-Mobile service. The internet device rarely worked and was a total waste of over $400 (cancellation fees). Even though I have a zero balance owed, I am still getting these strange calls which is how I got to this site. BOYCOTT T-MOBILE. If it is a collection service working for T-Mobile, it is about as effective as their product since no one is even answering. HELLO OUT THERE!!! I have Xfinity now and love it. I use Consume Cellular for my mobile and that couldn't be simpler or better.
1.3 overallWatch your billing cycle
By ajanderson03, posted: Oct 12I just recently changed carriers because of how bad TMobile's customer service has become. I too was a loyal customer for years but over the past year they have really changed their ways. My contract was up in Aug and I cancelled my service with TMobile on Sept 4th. This was one day into the new billing cycle. Well I just received a billing charging me for the entire month of Sept thru Oct 3rd. I called TMobile and they are claiming that it's in their terms and conditions that if you cancel your service even just 1 day into your next billing cycle that they will charge you for the entire billing cycle and they will not prorate anything. Obviously I have requested a copy of my contract to see where it states these supposed terms and conditions and I am disputing the charges. Has anyone else had this issue with TMobile?- 2.0 overall

1.7 overallAmericas Largest 2G network!
By cellreviews12, posted: Oct 12 - updated: Oct 12T-mobile talks about having nationwide 4G and providing blazing fast speeds. Not where I live! In my home my signal always flactuates from 4G to 2G! 3G is non existent when you have a 4G smartphone and shares the same signal strength as 4G. The times I connect to 4G my speeds are far below 4G expectation resulting in speeds below 1Mbps in which I connect to wifi when im home. I live in the Bay Area and coverage here is mediocre in my hometown I get more 2G signal than 4G signal in which it becomes annoying to do any type of web surfing due to extremely slow speeds. I usually pick up 4G signal along highways and interstate freeways and popular areas but when going to residential areas 4G lacks and becomes very spotty in which my phone switches to 2G. 4G signal indoors is also spotty in a lot of places I've came across, usually in areas where I get strong 4G signal outdoors results in 4G dropping indoors and 2G picking up instead, this becomes a pain in the ass! In some areas my phone says 5 bars of 4G but when it comes to speed testing my speeds I get speeds between .01 mbps to .08 mbps! T-mobile has very misleading coverage and signal indicators! and their network is junk! And for those who love doing road trips or simply driving out of a city area dont expect 4G signal at all you will be stuck on 2G signal until you have reached another city! T-mobile we are in 2012 and cant seem to keep up with your network and wonder why customers always jump ship to other networks. I will be switching back to Verizon Im done with T-mobile they mite as well be a prepaid provider instead of a postpaid provider. One more thing If you happen to go to be in an area with a large number of T-mobile users at once dont expect to your phone to make or receive cals, data wont work at all even if your phone says 5 bars of 4G, this is due to T-mobiles lack of capacity in their cell towers and not keeping up with user demand creating a traffic jam! Never had this issue with Verizon at all when I had them! Goodbye T-mobile the 4 months I had you guys not once was I satisfied with your network.- 1.0 overall
Service no longer available.
By Cindy Kruckeberg Schaefer, posted: Oct 12I have been a T-Mobile customer for years because T-Mobile is the only cell service that worked from our cabin in northern Wisconsin. In April I decided to renew my T-Mobile plan and add an extra phone for my husband. We signed a 2 year contract. In June of this year, we noticed we no longer had cell service at the cabin. My husband and I spent hours working with customer service trying to figure out why we no longer had service. At one point one of the service techs mentioned that it was probably because AT&T cut T-Mobile's use of their tower. Of course when I told T-Mobile their service is no longer of use to me and I wanted out of the contract...well you can imagine how that went. Our resolution to this problem was to purchase a Go Phone for cabin use. We will NOT be renewing our T-Mobile contract. - 1.0 overall
Customer Service At It's Worst
By Billy Jenkins, posted: Oct 12I ordered 2 upgrades in July. I was sent the wrong phones. I just now have straightened my bill out and still had to overpay my bill. They offered me $10 in compensation for over 4 hours I spent on the phone correcting thier mistake. They have no alternative to correcting thier mistkes. I had to return phone myself and they still did not send correct phone for over 2 weeks. They constantly talk over you till you lose your temper. I used to respect T Mobile but now I no longer have any use and will not recommend them in any way but as a disreputale carrier. - 1.0 overall
