Undisclosed Fees
By Robert Roesler, posted: Feb 16we were going to switch companies and the Loyalty department offered us free phones. What they failed to disclosed was the $35/mo additional fee for internet usage. I had the phone for a few months before realizing I was being charged for internet I had never used and didn't know I had. When I asked to hear the record of our oral contract I was treated rudely and told they didn't have a phone number. This is the end of my relationship with T mobile. - 1.0 overall
Rate Plan adjustment
By Saundi Crandall, posted: Feb 15I have been with T-mobile for just over a year (AT&T previously). I have a Samsung Dart (entry level phone) with the 'Classic' plan. I was advised there was a lower plan available, thus I called to have that plan activated on my account. Upon calling I was advised that due to my 'cheap' phone it would cost me $100 to migrate to the lower rate plan. REALLY. I can understand a cost associated with upgrading my phone, but a CHARGE to lower my rate plan to something available to customers. This is WRONG! I then asked what the ETF (early termination fee) would be and if this is prorated. Yes it is prorated after 18 month, but my contract will be over in 24 months, it should be prorated prior to 18 months.....$200 for ETF. Which other carrier charges for an advertised/published lower rate plan....NONE. Be careful if you are looking for a new carrier.....don't go T-mobile.
1.0 overallfucking stingy fucks
By Fox3ye, posted: Feb 14i wanted to purchase a phone., but then later decided to cancel the request and go in person instead. later that day i noticed they charged me anyway and now they have me waiting on bullshit excuses as to why they cant return my money right away. after they have already received their goddamn phone., i could understand a credit card, but it was a debit card. and direct money that was take out with the most simplicity. yet they are still taking their fucking sweet time in giving me the money they took from me anyway without my authorization. this is just some of the most fucked up shit you deal with when it comes to TMOBILE. fuck them!
2.0 overallTmoblie...there are better alternatives
By sierra2, posted: Feb 13I was with T-Mobile and its predecessors for years. Always wanted the iPhone (Tmobile didn't have) and constantly had a problem with reception and downed network. Anytime I was in a more rual area my friends on ATT and Verison always had better reception than I did. I did stay for years until my company supplied me with an iPhone and then gladly switched to Verison. The last straw and I realize it was legally their right, after 15 years of business I moved to Verison. I asked to have $200 cancelation fee removed. They choose not to do that and although I understand their desires. They definitly lost the chance at ever getting a 15 year cuustomer back. In my opinion there are other carriers with similar or less rates that offer better products and better coverage. Bill- 1.0 overall
Sales Reps Misrepresented the Plan-STAY AWAY!!!!
By Kathy Ayers McCreery, posted: Feb 11Left Verizon because sales rep promised the world...better plan at a lower rate. Phone is a piece of garbage, service is worse still. No service from my workplace, my daughter can't call from her home. When the first bill came, there were $20.00 worth charges for the 3rd line that we were never informed would be applied. NEVER GOT OUR $300.00 REBATE AS PROMISED. IN FACT, THEY TURNED US OVER TO A CREDIT BUREAU. The sales rep did not properly process the initial paperwork and a company who indicated they were not associated with T-Mobile billed us another $1200.00. In all, it will be costing my family well over $2,000 to sign up with this company WHICH OFFERS POOR PHONE SERVICE, HAS SALES REPS WHO MISREPRESENT THE CONTRACT, HAS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE TO ASSIST WITH PROBLEMS. Too bad that I don't have the money to hire an attorney to sue. Will report to the Better Business Bureau and post on every review page on the WEB.
5.0 overallT-Mobile
By AlphaOmega, posted: Feb 10I have read many of these reviews and i am not understanding why, if T-Mobile is so horrible and so bad, they stayed for 2-7 years. I waswith Sprintfor 8 years because they were great. When their CS changed Imoved to AT&T. I have been with ATT&T for 5 years and now their CS has changed (outsourced) and my bill has just increased and increased. So I have made arrangements to switch to T-Mobile. I always buy my phones outright so I am going for the $119.00/mo Family Plan with Unlimited voice, text, data for 2 lines. They actually recommendedI do a Pay-As-You-Go first. Cannot find a thing wrong with that. I get 2 SIMs sent for $2.18, keep my current numbers, and all other fees waived. The unlimited voice, text, data plan is 50% of what I have been paying at AT&T and it cuts my bill in half. Really, not sure why anyone would stay with a company for so many years and then give them such poor ratings. ODD !!!!!!!!!!
1.0 overallThey try to hold you hostage when you want to leave!
By Beth Maul, posted: Feb 10We have been T-Mobile customers for 4 years, and made the mistake of having my employer discount applied to the account last year, which renewed the contract for 2 years. We saved about $180 over the last 10 months with the 12% discount, and now that we want out they $200/line plus taxes! They are not competitive in the market place, the only carrier that does not offer the I-phone, although when you question them about that they will tell that it is coming, not sure when, but it is coming. Save yourself the aggrevation, and pay more for monthly service with one of the other big carriers.
1.0 overallPoor coverage and customer service
By Trower, posted: Feb 8We cancelled our service because we could not get service in our home (metropolian Detroit). Called to ask how much it would cost to cancel our contract and were told $200. Received final bill charging $400 ($200/line). We challenged this and were told to put it in writing and they would review the recording of the call in question. They never got back to us and sent a bill for $200 that I withheld from my final payment. When I called their service department I was told that all calls are not recorded and that I still owed them $200. I will pay it but will never use T-Mobile again and have to say I'm very happy with AT&T.- 1.0 overall
T-Mobile is a scammer
By Slim Salmoun, posted: Feb 6I wanted to Join T-Mobile and thank God it did not happened, I called on 05 FEB 2013 to ask for specific plan and feature, after credit check, the sales person David could not process the order. They sent an email to call back , when I called I was as if I am talking to aliens, they have no clues of what I want and they asked if I can restart the order again, which I did and after the process the sales person could not process it because some issues with their system. I called the following morning and same issue too. I talked to someone else by the name of Alberto and he promised a discount or sort of a compensation which was a lie right after he transfered me to another agent who denied that he is aware of any of that and I will get only what I have asked for: plan, and sim cards. I end up calling the corporate office on 06 FEB 2013 and their clercks in WA office were the worse ever, what a corporate reps and what a service !!!! My advise to those folks who doesn't know T-Mobile well, is stay away from this company, they are the worse ever, shop somewhere else.
1.0 overallA Nightmare to Deal With.
By Kescheatwood, posted: Feb 5I will never have any dealings with this company ever again. I used T-Mobile services for a year and a half. I bought a cellular device and paid by the month for their service for a whole year. I made the mistake of signing a two year contract after that. I moved to a new residence shortly after signing the contract and didn't have any service at my new house! I had to go up the road for any kind of service! I called to notify T-Mobile about this issue to see if they could do anything about it and they didn't say much of anyting about my issue. They just brushed me off. So I got fed up and called to cancel my service with them. They charged me with all these fees along with the cancelation fee. I tried to talk to several different managers about these fees and how unfair it was for me to pay these fees when I didn't even acquire a new cell phone upon signing up for the contract!!!! Half the time I called, I couldn't get in touch with anyone that could do anything about it. Worst customer service. This company is definintly a company that doesn't seem to care about it's customers. Not only was the customer service lousy, the phone service was too. I would constantly have dropped calls and low service coverage. I will NEVER do any kind of business with them again.
