1.3 overallAvoid T-Mobile and unethical billing
By Rob612, posted: May 15I was told by two reps that I would receive a pro-rated bill when I cancelled my service. However, they charged the full amount for just one week's worth of service. Customer service asked me to return to T-Mobile and at the same time refused to negotiate a fair, pro-rated bill. In my opinion, their billing practices are misleading and they don't seem to care about the customer.- 1.0 overall
T-Mobile is horrible. They never stand behind their promises or their product.
By Richard Avant, posted: May 10I have been with T-Mobile for 10 years. They sold me a phone that I had to pay full retail. When it didn't work properly they told me to wait for the update. They told me I should wait past their 14 day grace period and it will fix the problem. I waited and did the update and it still did not fix the problem. They told me it was my problem.I would not recommend this company to anyone.
1.0 overallBBB F rating for Tmobile
By mrmike1965, posted: May 1Reason for Rating BBB rating is based on 16 factors. Get the details about the factors considered. Factors that lowered T-Mobile's rating include: 32767 complaints filed against business Failure to respond to 10 complaints filed against business. On August 7, 2012, BBB recognized a pattern of complaints from consumers alleging product deficiencies and/or misleading sales tactics. Consumers claim upon purchasing a new phone, the reception as well as the quality of the phone itself is poor. Consumers claim once they return the phone and receive confirmation that T-Mobile received it, they are charged for the cost of the phone. Consumers also allege T-Mobile's representatives offer less expensive phone plans that include additional features, but consumers are then charged for using those features even though they were advertised as included in the package. Consumers claim when they try to add the services that were advertised as included, the company says the plan does not offer those services and the consumers need to upgrade, which increases the cost of the plan. Consumers further allege they are charged for third-party features they have not requested or used. Consumers claim upon calling T-Mobile with questions or concerns about their plans, the company demonstrates poor customer service and places consumers on hold for long periods of time. Consumers further allege T-Mobile's representatives promise certain plans and discounts; however upon receiving their first bill, consumers realize they are being charged for a plan and price that was not agreed upon. Consumers claim when they call the company to fix the discrepancy, there is no way to verify what was promised, as notes in the company's system are contrary to what was agreed upon or are non existent. BBB recommends consumers review in detail any contract before signing, and to get any verbal promises in writing.
1.0 overallFed-up with T-Mobile

1.0 overallT Mobile just like the other 3
By Jerryz, posted: Apr 24I have used Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile over the past 12 years. Look at all the complaints for the 4 companies on this website. All 4 lack great customer service, They all have service problems at one point or another, they are all after more and more money and if we switch, well, they get more money. If people are getting great service, they love their company. All 4 companies have those people. If people are not getting great service, they hate their company. All 4 companies have those people as well. What we have failed to learn is that we created these monsters because we want more and more, faster and faster, now, now, now. These companies don't care because as soon as you drop service and switch, someone is switching back to one of the other 3. It is a cycle and they are all in it together. Think about it. If you owned one of these companies, wouldn't you fix the billing issues, the customer care issues, the phone issues, give discounts to your loyal customers etc.etc. These companies just don't care because if they don't get the money from me or you they will get it from someone else. It is estimated there are almost 300 million devices with contracts with these 4 companies at an average of $80 per line. That is over $24 BILLION per month collectively. THAT'S WHY THEY DON'T CARE, PERIOD. If each customer kept their current provider but found a way to reduce services by about $20 per month per device, it would take from their pockets approximately 6 BILLION $$ per month collectively. Think that would open their eyes and make them change. We should try it.
1.0 overallT-mobile sucks
By anej, posted: Apr 24 - updated: Apr 24Their customer service is horrible.... before I bought a full price phone they said all it takes to unlock it is one phone call and that was one rep on the phone and one at store.... Long story short I got the phone and I`m leaving in two day for a longer period of time so I need my phone with me but they cannot process my request and leave me without a device even though I`m paying the $500 for it. Their excuse was that their reps don`t know the policy and their genius manager suggested I use skype over wi`fi for my call for over a month... ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!? Well, let me suggest you something - take your stupid phone back because I`m done with Tmobile
1.7 overallT-MOBILE- NO LOYALITY TO LONG TERM CUSTOMERS
By Karen Walton, posted: Apr 23I have been with T-Mobile like somewhere 10-11+ years. They sold their at Home Phone lines for $10 a months. I have had these plans for a extended period of time and they have quit working. I use these phones for my business from home. Now my customers have not been able to call me for TWO WEEKS. I might as well have closed my small business. In addition; they no longer sell the products to support the service. T-Mobile could have sent out letters when they decieded to no longer service those lines with parts. They say they will give you tech support however if your router is broke here are your choice's they tell you to do: A) Buy from Amazon, Craigs List or Ebay. B) Change your phone plan into a expense cell phone service line or C) Just take your business somewhere else. (i.e.-If you dont like it). These are the things I have been told. We didn't they send out letters if they no longer choose to support you?????? I geuss since they probably just weren't making enough money with the program it was easier just to try and dump us by forcing you to take your business elsewhere. I tried to get them to change the phone into a cell phone for just a few days however they said they could not do this without charging me lots of money. I told them how loyal I have been but it does not matter. I asked if they would like to be put out of business for 2 weeks while you hunt down a router to buy from the internet but they don't really care. Loyality means nothing to these crooks. Thinking of taking my business to other carriers. Any suggestions? I have 7 phone lines with them but this still means nothing to them.- 1.0 overall
Idiots - liars - WORST customer service
By Lone Wolf, posted: Apr 21I have been trying to pre order my HTC One said it became available on gee tmobile web site. The process sounded simple enough. $99 down then $20 a month for two years. As a web special you get a free cat kit. I have called tmobile countless times and been told different stories on each contact. The stories have ranged from a known system issue that will be resolved shortly to existing customers are not eligible for this offer to my personal favorite that we first needed to change my rate plan and that would resolve the issue. Keep in mind that the first step in three upgrade process is to select your rate plan. I can understand that front line agents are not always the most knowledgeable and educated individuals. Knowing this I quickly escalated to cancellations. Cancellations is supposed to be their very best representatives and equipped to resolve and save customer face. All I can say is my experience with each off them was more infuriating. Out of all the lies that poured from their mouths was one that flat out lied staying he would call on a specific day and time. No worries folks, I want holding my breath for that one. Where do they get these people. After telling this rep that I was overtures, frustrated and in a fowl mood he had the audacity to tell me how wonderful he was doing. To finalize the situation: RUN! If you have any other carrier that works in your area check them out. Not only does tmobile not offer handset discounts to long time customers bit they no longer anything resembling quality customer service. I have worked in customer service for over 15 years and have never encountered this level of service or the lack there of. W.E.H. Rockford OK.
