Award Winning Customer Service? Award for what, Worst Service?By Jay Booras, posted: Dec 09The good: Free battery swap when yours is low. Decent minute packages. The bad: Everything else.Summary: From having my bill screwed up multiple times when moving from one area code to another - to being told I wasnt on the account when I went to pay my bill - US Cellular has shown me nothing but terrible customer service for years. I've been an authorized user on my account since it was opened - and they wouldnt even allow me to pay my bill in a corporate owned store - because I refused to show them my drivers license in order to pay it. Now tell me, why should I have to show ID to pay a bill? If someone else wants to go in and pay my phone bill - I dont care one bit. Go for it! That's absolutely ignorant. I've finally had enough of their terrible service, and will be paying their early termination fee in February and switching to AT&T. Iphone, here I come! No one's service can be as terrible as U.S. Cellular.

Solid Chicago area carrier, easy access to customer service, older phonesBy Gee Jake, posted: May 09The good: great signal in Chicago. Works indoors in many spots, unlike my AT&T and t-mobile phones. works in the subway via special arrangement. The bad: older phonesSummary: Good signal around Chicago. Never had a problem roaming. Easy, helpful customer service. Decent prices. Reasonable rules. Easy month to month after contract term.

8 years with service, very happy.By jason roberts, posted: Apr 09The good: Never a billing issue, good network and good phones. The bad: infrequent dropped calls.Summary: By far biggest bang for the buck. I do think they need to removing texting fees, but still by far best value for money in Illinois and Wisconsin.

US cellular looks and sounds great....By ? ?, posted: Mar 09The good: can get signal just about ANYWHEREThe bad: price stinks, customer service is no help, neither are the ppl in the stores.Summary: i switched from US cellular to a diff. phone company in december of '08 b.c we had been told if we combined our phones into a fam. plan that it would be cheaper and it wasnt. now we have smart phones instead of regular phones and we pay less... and no we are not on cricket... i never recieved my last bill and never got a call from them saying they were trying to contact me and they sent it to a collections agencie so now i have to pay $500 and i dont even know what for, i have tried many many times to get a bill sent to me so i know what i am paying for but i am always told to call back and no one is available and since it has been sent to collections i cant go to the store and have them print the bill for me... on a better note when i sent my phone in to be repaired when i first started with them they lost my phone and tried to charge me for a brand new phone!!! but i called the ppl over them and they ended up not making me pay and paying for the phone cover that was lost with it. but that is the only time i have ever been able to get anywhere with them... i even had to drive 20 minutes if i needed to talk to them despite the fact that i have a store literally right down the street from me b.c their employees were not trained enough to give me correct information... it really has turned into a train reck and i do not even recomend them to my enemies

U.S. Cellular...Service is not what it use to beBy Candice Dupree, posted: Feb 09The good: Beautiful Ad CampaignsThe bad: Beautiful Ad Campaigns-but that's about itSummary: The phone that I have is mediocre(terrible battery life), but it worked to the last day of my contract expiring-how nice for US Cellular. The web based programs and games are limited. Graphics are nostalgic like atari (that's for everyone who grew up in the 80's). Customer service use to be good, but now it's just terrible. Don't bother asking for a Manager either-like the one I just talked to named Pedro. Talking to him confirmed what I always thought about US Cellular-they put a front to get you to buy, but at the end off the day they just don't deliver.

Great except for phone selection!By Karen Stampe, posted: Feb 09The good: Most everything. The bad: Never have the latest phones or much of a selection. :(Summary: Had US Cellular for around 10 years, never had a dropped call and travel around the US quite a bit too w/o any issues. Plans are decent pricing.

Make money with their cheap phonesBy Tammy Smith, posted: Jan 09The good: Good customer service in the Waterloo, Iowa areaThe bad: Phones that dont last even until the contract runs out.Summary: I have been with u.s. cellular for 10 years now and every phone that we have had (we have 3 phones in the household.) have been a piece of crap. Even with normal usage. U.s. Cellular makes tons of money with selling their phones as you have to replace them every 6 months. The quality of the phones is a sure guarantee that you will be back to sign a contract in order to get another piece of crap phone. U.S cellular is very good with taking advantage of people when they can. I cant wait until we get another service in this area because its bye-bye to U.S cellular and their nonfunctioning phones. They make them this way so your sure to sign another contract and so they can sell you several phones in a year......SCAMMERS

ReviewBy Justin Miles, posted: Nov 08The good: Excellent coverage all over Wisconsin, free incoming calls and messages, great customer service, cheaper rates for comparable plans from competitorsThe bad: Never seem to have the latest phones.Summary: I have had US Cellular since October, 2002 and was off at college in the boonies. I've been on the same plan since then and get 1000 anytime minutes with free incoming calls/messages for $40/mo. The customer service is excellent and they're very flexible with me about upgrading my phone before my contract is up.

Great ServiceBy Kelly E, posted: Nov 08The good: Service when calling over the phone is great. The representatives are very helpful. I never have dropped calls or have trouble calling out. The price is great for what I get.The bad: There isn't a very good selection of phones to choose from. The service in the stores is not too good. There are very few clerks and a lot of customers. There's a long wait every time I go.Summary: Overall I am very satisfied with U. S. Cellular. I had U. S. Cellular for about 3 years and switched to another company because there was a better phone that I wanted. I stayed there until my contract ran out and switched back to U. S. Cellular because the coverage and price was so much better. I've been here for about 4 years and don't anticipate switching. I do wish they would get a larger selection of phones.
