4.7 overallGreat Customer Satisfaction??
By Brett D., posted: Mar 08The good: No major problems in 11 years of personal service, good friendly customer service, good receptionThe bad: No new technology as far as the newest phones, they didn't have the razor for months!! No rollover minutes.Summary: I've been with US Cellular since they were Cell One, or basically 11 years. I've had friendly customer service, and good reception. I have maybe one dropped call every 2-3 years. I've had no real problems until I reduced my minutes at their recommendation, and proceded to go over my minutes by 650 minutes! I had no warning by them as to my minute usage, and they claimed absolutely no responsibility or leniency when I got a $400 bill.
5.0 overallGreat Service
By Lori Umnus, posted: Feb 08The good: great service, reasonable plan rate. The bad: would like to see more types of phones available.Summary: Called me when they started offering family texting to save me money. Replaced krzr for free when having problem. replaced charger for free.
1.0 overallCustomer Satisfaction is 0%
By Zia Ouy, posted: Feb 08I have been with US Cellular more than ten years,
and every two years I renew the contract for two additional years and get new dicounted phone with that this time I choose a phone which came out to be very bad by dropping calls and bad ring tone,I went back to change it as they promise that I have thirty days to do so but they did not let me change it because it is no longer new in the box with the plastic cover, and I am stuck with this cheep and poor quility phone for the next two years, this is what I call 0% CUSTOMER
SATISFACTIONS GARANTEED.I advise if you have a choice to choose cellular combany stay away from this cheep one and their cheep cell phones too.
1.0 overallBe careful before signing!!
By Sarah D, posted: Jan 08The good: Phone was nice. The bad: Rob you blind, customer service rude and unwilling to fix problems Summary: After my plan ran up, I renewed my plan, but before doing so I told them that I would be moving to live in MA permanetly. I asked if I would get service and was told I would. However, after the 30 trial period was up, I was given a call telling me that I was not in a proper service area (though I had a nation wide plan). This was discovered only after I called and questioned why I was being charged almost double for my calls. And why I had been charged twice for my phone. The one stopped working after seven days (with no damgage done do it) and when I returned the phone for a new one, I was charged again on the bill. Despite the fact that the guy at the store said sometimes phones just stop working. I then recieved a call saying that since I was out of the service area (in MA) that my subscription would be terminated and I would be charged 150 dollars to do so. I called and spoke with Kathy out of the Waukesha Customer Service Center and was told that I had no options other than to pay the 150 dollars or return my phone (not to be reimbursed and having to pay shipping costs).
My service will be terminated in one month. I've been on the service for only 2 months and I spend 40 dollars on my phone. (Though they tried to charge me 80 dollars). Kathy, the woman I spoke to, was rude and unhelpful. She treatened me with legal action and stated that if I tried to press the matter, I would lose at my expense.
In short, stay away from US cellular at all costs or be victim to their rude customer service represenatives and their trickiery.

1.7 overallUS Cellular will cost you!!!
By Tony G., posted: Nov 07The good: Best customer service available UNTIL you purchase a plan and phone. The bad: US Cellular will do everything possible to TAKE your money.Summary: Short story is this, US Cellular only cares about your money. If they feel they are not getting enough of it they will find a way (any way) to bill you for more of it. Don't like it, tough. It was cheaper to pay the $150 to get out of my US Cellular "mafia" contract and go Verizon, although, I now have to watch my back as I'm told that they have a contract out on me for doing this. US Cellular has a legal license to steal your money and there is NOTHING you can do about it.
5.0 overallBest Wireless Carrier in America
By Andrew LeRoy, posted: Nov 07The good: - Awesome signal strength
- Zero dropped calls
- Great customer service
- Free incoming calls!
- Free incoming text messages!
- Reasonable pricesThe bad: - NoneSummary: I signed up with U.S. Cellular based on a friend's recommendation and I couldn't be more pleased. If you live in the midwest, don't even think of buying a GSM phone (AT&T/T-Mobile). CDMA is king out here but Verizon and Sprint have horrible customer service.
U.S. Cellular is the best wireless carrier in America. It's a fact!
1.0 overallGeneral Service
By Millie Sifuna, posted: Nov 07The good: None so far.The bad: Poor customer care.
Customer service not available 24/7Summary: This carrier rips customers off so badly it hurts. It is the only carrier that has segmented regions of service. One is expected to pay the same amount for Mid-Western Region as national service. Now this National service can be a very expensive venture if you visit some states.
Try to complain to the poor PR customer reps, the only sentence they have been drilled to say is:
" Sorry, we are afraid we cannot give you back your credit even if it is our mistakes"
Very frustrating carrier...stay away from U.S Cellular any day anytime.
5.0 overallLove 'em!

1.0 overallUS Cellular not friendly
By Trish Kannegiesser, posted: Nov 07The good: UM THIS COULD TAKE A WHILEThe bad: They are rude. They do not offer any suggestions or explain their products or programs to you. They do not take anytime with you. When i had a problem the service rep was so rude i left crying. They insulted me and I will not go back.Summary: Go to all companies and see how different each one treats you. If they are pleasent its worth it. Sprint is so much better and their customer service is a ten.
