Switched and found out all I needed to know about Verizon Prepaid Plans

Posted on: January 22nd, 2018 by youngthings1322

Had just paid my prepaid account with Verizon when I switched to Directv. They have me a really good deal on the AT&T prepaid plan so they switched me over. When I called Verizon to let them know, and ask for a refund, they guy named Chris said no can do. He said to read the find print, so I did. He was correct, but I also told him that I might switch back to Verizon if I wasn't happy with AT&T. He still said too bad!. They don't give refunds in that case either. I tried every trick in the book, i.e., asking for the manager, etc. No can do is all Chris would say. So, I guess it's stick with AT&T. And, me switching back to Verizon: You guessed it. NO CAN DO!!

No Warranty like told by Verizon Reps X2

Posted on: June 14th, 2017 by janey1017

My son went in to Verizon here in Fremont Ohio to get his prepaid phone. He got the Motorola G4. On Tuesday the 13th of June 5 days after purchase my son was working & left his phone sitting on a table. When he came down from the roof the glass on the front was cracked. He thought maybe it was from the heat of over 90 that day. We called Verizon prepay & they said he has a 14 day warranty & to take it back to the store. So we took it back to the store waited almost 40 minutes & they said they couldn't do anything!!! So we got in the car & called again the Prepay Dept & was told again a Rep that yes he has a 14 day warranty. She said she'd get him a new phone & transferred him to Motorola . The girl there said he would get a new phone and said he had to pay $24 fir the new one. My son said he wasn't paying for a new one & the Rep at Motorola hung up on him. So he has a now 6 day old phone with a cracked front screen that Verizon or Motorola will replace. My whole family is Verizon customers but are totally upset & disapointed in this type of customer service. Watch what you get when it comes to Verizon's prepay phones because they don't do what they say they're going to do!!!

DOES NOT WORK WITH IPHONE

Posted on: September 7th, 2016 by sloan

Traveling from overseas to the US, I bought a prepaid sim card from Verizon. The sim with a one month plan cost 50 dollars. When I had trouble activating the sim I called their customer service line only to find out that I had to buy a Verizon phone in order to use this already expensive plan. The rep told me they are not compatible with unlocked Iphones nor other overseas unlocked phones and no refunds could be issued. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY.

Says LTE but I'm skeptical.

Posted on: December 12th, 2015 by PenDav

1. Verizon is the only service that reaches my lakehouse so I have no choice. 2. Was tired of being held hostage by contracts so I decided to go prepaid. I use very little data, only for email so the least expensive prepaid plan with data was all I need. 3. The problem - people report not being able to get through to me. They say it's like listening to a party line, they can hear a man talking but not to them. My guess is that Verizon governs the quality of prepaid service, reserving the best service for people they can extract the most money from with contracts and constant phone upgrades. Their service for prepaid seems to be a 2nd class quality service.

Verizon Prepay

Posted on: April 14th, 2015 by rretired48

Got this as soon as it came out July 2014. Did 2 phones, a nightmare. I felt coverage was not as the High Pay Service and no rep gets credit so help and stories were wild. Just did cross country with buddy on ATT. Was horrified how I got NO COVERAGE. About Sept- Dec. I got a recording I had -0- minutes left. Called and was given $10.00 credit and they got the bugs out as they said lines in SW Florida were full. Going back to ATT. Bummer.. Great Towers not on PrePaid

Verizon Pre-Pay is NOT Unlimited

Posted on: January 30th, 2015 by thephonereviewguy@gmail.com

We have tested all Pre-Pay phones and this is my finding. Is Verizon really unlimited calling The answer is NO, Verizon has a system that if you pass x amount of min's of usage they will shut your phone even if you still have credit the sad part is how they do this. Not even a TEXT and to make matters worst they report the phone stolen

5 days no service- no phone

Posted on: October 9th, 2014 by Gary Kinsey

5 days ago I decided to port my phone number from Straight talk to Verizon. 5 days now my phone is not working and I keep getting promised that it will be resolved by 7 AM tomorrow. Then in 24 hours. Then in 48 hours. They have my money, I have no service. Asked them to just stop the port and put me back on ST. Was told that I had to wait or lose my phone number. If I canceled the CC charge I'd never get my number back. Looks like my phone number is being held hostage.

Only good for in town use

Posted on: April 8th, 2014 by Kmeng Yang

Go out of town and you loose service. I've been on many different plans and have experience that prepaid has very BAD coverage area. So it's NOT INTENDED FOR PEOPLE THAT USUALLY GOES OUT OF TOWN. If you're just an in towner than it's a great deal for prepaids.

Verizon Easypay "great coverage"

Posted on: August 11th, 2007 by Christopher D.

The good: great selection of phones,2 great plans to choose from on Easypay month to month, unlimited in calling,no taxes added on monthly balance at the end of billing cycle. The bad: old UI menu, text messages &pix messages take away from account balance which takes away minutesSummary: I have Verizon Easypay 350,Which includes 350 anytime minutes,3000 nights and weekends, and unlimited mobile to mobile for 50.00 a month.I started service on 03-30-07.Great coverage!,never roam,I can choose any phone Verizon has to offer-(not just prepaid phones.)Great customer service. All around best company to choose from.I have been with all the other national mobile companies and none compare to this,I have have postpaid and prepay accounts.I could have a postpaid account but I choose Prepaid month to month cause I like to keep control of my account and not worrie about overage's,plus no commit! Which im not to good at,and the best thing "NO CONTRACT".I would reconmmend Verizon to any one.All my family and mostly all my friends are on Verizon so we can talk for free. YAY!!!

VZW Pay as you go Review

Posted on: January 15th, 2007 by Matthew Gerstenblitt

The good: No contracttxt only 5 centsCoverage is goodThe bad: Expensive.Summary: It is expensive. It cost 99 cents per day, plus 25 cent connection fee, plus 10 cents a minute. This costs more thatn adding al ine. Just add a line for 9.99, it pays in the long run even if the phone is more.
