No help!By Shannon K Orona, posted: Apr 13I've had Verizon Wireless since 1997 when it was LA Cellular. The rates have gone up and gone up and now that we're on a shared Data plan and we don't even use 1/4 of the data that we're being charged for our rate is over 200 a month and the old man's phone uses no data. I called Verizon and was told that they can only save me $20 a month to drop the usage, I asked if I cancel the plan what they would charge me, I was told $450.00. After being a loyal customer for 16 years you would think that there would be something else they could do. I am now going to Yelp and Google and putting a review under their name. Not that I am someone but if someone is looking to go to Verizon this may sway their thinking. Ok Rant over, almost. When i go to Direct TV or ATT and ask what they can do they are always so helpful in trying to figure out how to save their customers money. Ok Now done.

Incompetent and do not care.By Paul Gresham, posted: Mar 13Just got my fifth phone since last July. They sent phone that said SIM card press-installed but was not. When turned new phone on turned old phone off. I had 3 phone and none would work. Called customer service because they had not sent tool to install SIM in new phone but they did not tell me I could use a paper clip. I went by Verison store and had to wait half an hour to get SIM installed. When I called customer to find out how to get pictures off old phone, was told by supervisor to take data card out. When I told her my phone did not have a data card she told me all phones had data card. When I asked her to tell me where it was in the Galaxy Nexus she then told me it did not have a data card I could remove. Went back to store where clerk told me to Bluetooth pictures to new phone but after several minutes of trying told me it would not work but she did not know why. She also told me it was all my fault for buying a phone without a removable data card even though a sales person at the store had directed me to the Nexus last July. To Verizon the customer is always wrong!

Verizon is a money hungry companyBy Sarah Mae Greenwood, posted: Mar 13I have been dealing with the same problem with Verizon since Sept. got a replacement phone they claim they never recieved damaged phone. They say customer is always wrong shut my phone off charged me $459.99 for phone I didnt even have along with late fees and reconnect fees. Also every phone call consists of over an hour each time cause the representatives dont know how to notate anything on the account so have to tell whole story over again. Poor poor customer service. I am reporting to the BBB and will file small claims for my money back. I have been ripped off and want my money back and to be treated fairly....sarah greenwood 6182041175

weak signal in my homeBy mikep, posted: Mar 13at can i say. verizon wireless pretty much works evreywhere except in my home area. I get 0 signal in my office in my basement. i have straight talk for 6 days now. I'm changing to straight talks zte merit fon. which will be on the att network prior to my accident i was doing activations for verizon,. att, and t mobile. verizon worked everywhere. no complaints. that why i got it. i'm just in a bad area for then. i can see the att tower from my home so thats the one. i do know a little about verizon cus ser. many people complained to me about it . I was with att for yrs their cus ser was great until i authorized them to move 4 of my 5 lines on my acc to my ex and kids. they moved the fons but not the billing. left me with a $300 plus bill. oh well their never see the $. I have an ifon, i got it for 99 cents. so they charged me 400 for it. Yeah right. I'll unlock it and sell it. on straight talk now. great deal.

Dont use Verizon Wireless they are expensive and dont care about your business!By Ledeen Halloran, posted: Mar 13I recently was laid off and had to take contract work. To downsize my bills, I changed my verizon wireless plan to switch to a lower plan, I previously had the unlmited. I did this online, and tried to find what my usage was, but there online program doesnt tell you the minutes you are using if you are on unlmited minutes. When it was time to pay my bills, I checked my Verizon account online and whoa! I owed an additional 270.00!!! I tried to switch my plan, but their system would allow me to switch it since I had been laid off and my contract job had not paid me yet. As soon as I paid the previous month, the one that was still on the unlimited plan (133.00 a month), I called and asked if they could change me back and make it for the month before as well (My son who is with AT&T told me to call and ask because he had a similiar situation and AT&T back dated his change back so that he didnt owe any additional money.) I was told NO, they dont do that. Period. Didnt matter I have been with them 8 years, So now I have to figure out how on earth I will pay a 278.00 a month plan plus my current month. Keep in mind I received NO Notices I was over on minutes and when I changed the plan online there was no information I could get from their system to even see how many minutes I used because I was on an unlmited plan. I dont know if they do this on purpose to raise revenue since by the time you get socked with a huge bill its too late to switch that month, and your then in the next months bill. If I can keep up my payments I will definately switch carriers to AT&T as soon as my contract is up. I HATE VERIZON

This is the worst Company ever to do business with!!By Deanna Cano, posted: Mar 13I have been with them for 6 months now and still have not been able to access my account online to pay my bills and the phone customer service is horrible. They are out right rude with out a care. That is after waiting 45 mins to an hour to get someone on the line. I tried the chat customer service and its even worse, I was trying to pay my bill and the rep didnt even listen to my questions all he did was set me up on a payment plan which did not need to be done as I was paying my bill on time. But because I didn't pay it that night (because I couldn't get thru to someone to take my payment my service was cut off the very next day. The only reason I contact them is to pay my bill, you would think if your going to give them money they would make it a very nice and smooth experience. I am so done with this company I am headed over to Cox. Cox customer service has been 10 times more courteous than verizon, on the phone, in person and online.

Now that I am starting to count pennies a little more I realize that I have been paying for cream of the crop phone service for a long time. Time for me to bring it down a few notches and use the extra cash to pay off some debt. VZW costs a little more but IMO, if you can can afford why go elsewhere?

Too Big to CareBy ahunter4000, posted: Mar 13I had an unlimited data plan with a discount through my company. When my daughter’s phone went on the fritz, I had to upgrade her to a new phone. Unfortunately, the unlimited data is no longer offered. Now, it’s 2G or the highway! But wait, you don’t really have to worry about going over your data usage since for only $4.99 per month you can purchase usage controls and limit data usage. I am so dissatisfied with Verizon right now, I am looking for an alternative in the future. I hate it when a company gets so big that they could care less about their customers.

Verizon overall has some good qualities, but the Mechanicsville, VA store is terrible.By Sandra Jones, posted: Feb 13I have been a Verizon customer ever since it came to Virginia. Our home service was Verizon so we chose Verizon for our wireless service. It seemed the logical choice to me, but now I am not so sure. Our home and wireless service together is about $200 a month. You would think for that kind of money you would be treated with a little bit of consideration and we always have been at every store except the one in Mechanicsville, VA. Every time we go in there we are kept waiting. One time we had our 5 year old granddaughter with us. After waiting for quite awhile, she needed to go to the bathroom. We asked if she could use the restroom and they said no. We had to give up our place in line and go to the Walmart so that she could go to the restroom. Recently we bought an iphone from Verizon and paid $150 dollars for an insurance policy. Right from the beginning the phone wouldn't hold a charge, and didn't seem to want to recharge. In less than 2 weeks it wouldn't charge at all. I took it back to the store in Mechanicsville, and they said that it was Apple's problem and that we should take it to the Apple store. The customer service there is horrible, and we might as well have burned the money we spent on the insurance. I would rate that store a 0. On the other hand the Verizon store in Virginia Center Commons is wonderful. We dealt with a young man named Daniel there and he was very helpful. The young lady there was also very considerate. I would rate the Virginia Center Commons store a 5.
