Verizon overall has some good qualities, but the Mechanicsville, VA store is terrible.
By Sandra Jones, posted: Feb 21I have been a Verizon customer ever since it came to Virginia. Our home service was Verizon so we chose Verizon for our wireless service. It seemed the logical choice to me, but now I am not so sure. Our home and wireless service together is about $200 a month. You would think for that kind of money you would be treated with a little bit of consideration and we always have been at every store except the one in Mechanicsville, VA. Every time we go in there we are kept waiting. One time we had our 5 year old granddaughter with us. After waiting for quite awhile, she needed to go to the bathroom. We asked if she could use the restroom and they said no. We had to give up our place in line and go to the Walmart so that she could go to the restroom. Recently we bought an iphone from Verizon and paid $150 dollars for an insurance policy. Right from the beginning the phone wouldn't hold a charge, and didn't seem to want to recharge. In less than 2 weeks it wouldn't charge at all. I took it back to the store in Mechanicsville, and they said that it was Apple's problem and that we should take it to the Apple store. The customer service there is horrible, and we might as well have burned the money we spent on the insurance. I would rate that store a 0. On the other hand the Verizon store in Virginia Center Commons is wonderful. We dealt with a young man named Daniel there and he was very helpful. The young lady there was also very considerate. I would rate the Virginia Center Commons store a 5. - 1.0 overall
Worst service ever provided
By XAlex Gutierrez, posted: Feb 17I bought a pay as you go phone from Verizon after 5 years of AT&T service. I simply wanted a change of phone with a cheaper contract. I learned my lesson. I paid 76 dollars for the cheapest phone and the cheapest service because I only need the very basics. I had service on the phone for approximately 10 hours before it lost service. I went to both the RadioShack that I bought it at and the Verizon store next to it. After 2 hours of phone calls and failed attempts to fix my phone, I decided it was easiest to break it in half and cut my losses. Verizon does not care about the little guy! Their customer service in store was not acceptable. The product is not acceptable. I will never be back.
1.0 overallThe big dog #@!%*'s on the little guy.
By Jo haring, posted: Feb 13We have never been so unsatisfied with a service. After paying over $400. to switch to the unlimited Alltel plan a couple years ago we were forced to change the plan late last year because they said it would be discontinued and we had no choice. The new plan being only a 4g limited use plan. They told us our biggest usage month was only a little over 2 g. They initially told us it was because individuals were using way to many 'g' and 'taking advantage' of the plan. Isn't that what unlimited is for? We are truck drivers and use the computer for business as well as catching up on favorite shows. Since the beginning of this new plan we have already gone over our alotted 'g's and were charged extra. We now have to keep watch on how many we use. Funny thing, it will only cost us $150. to switch now. Go figure. Just keep linings those Verizon pockets with money and keep crapping on your customers. Karma comes back no matter who you are,- 1.7 overall
Buyer beware
By Tammy Black, posted: Feb 8I was tricked out of my unlimited data plan. I was told I could keep it when I upgraded my phone (that I was grandfathered in), but when I got my bill I no longer had unlimited data. After calling numerous times to have it reapplied I was smacked with the reality that they don't care. I of course didn't get it back and am now looking to go elsewhere. - 1.0 overall
Unreasonable regulation, rude customer service
By Hannah Cao, posted: Jan 28Their customer service is really bad and their rule on stopping service is very unreasonable. My billing cycle goes from 19th of each month to 18th of the next month. I stopped my service on the 2nd of the month. Then, they still charge me the whole billing cycle although I did not use their service from the 2nd to the 18th. It totally does not make sense at all. When I stopped my service with Tmobile, Tmobile reasonably reimbursed my unused cost (prorated). Does anybody else has such experience similar to mine? - 1.0 overall
NEVER AGAIN
By Rachael Alford, posted: Jan 23If I could give this company ALL 0's there is no doubt that I would. The customer service department is TERRIBLE, they are RUDE and IGNORANT. I will NEVER have Verizon again, I will NEVER speak highly of Verizon. I can not believe this comany is still in business. They are a MAJOR rip off. If you get this service you are going to be sadly disappointed. - 1.0 overall
Don't even deserve 1 rating
By Haley Barbour, posted: Jan 19Beware of this business, no more than a bunch thieves. It took money from my credit card in Nov 2012. When I complained, they told me the money will be applied back to my credit card within 24-48 hours, which did not happen. So far I had to called 16 times and go to the local store 4 times to get my money back. Most of the time they promised me I would receive the money in 24-48 hours. They acknowledged that they wrongfully took my money, but hesitated to return it. What a crooked thieves! - 1.0 overall
HORRIBLE!!!!! Never again!!!!
By Jessie McCormick, posted: Jan 18Well if you enjoy not getting the call's you need or getting text messages three days later, this is the plan for you! If you really love paying more for less this is exactly what you'll get. And best of all if you get your jollies by spending all day on hold waiting to talk to a grouchy customer service representative who can't help you anyways, look no further! Seriously I could go on all day, but to make it short: Worst customer service known to mankind Horrible Coverage Phones are a piece and constantly having issues Most expensive and for no reason! Doesn't make sense to pay more, for less! less coverage, less data and less customer service. If there was a way to mark them a .5 I would have! - 1.0 overall

By Ashley Savage, posted: Jan 15After sitting on the phone for 2+ hours (trying to order a new phone) and being transferred at least 8 times (at least) nothing, absolutely nothing!
