Waste of money
By Brie Mandarino, posted: May 12My fiance and i signed a 2-year agreement in December of 2011 with brand new phones. Our monthly bill was $180, which we soon changed to the share everything plan but they were still charging us $165; every month they would tell us we were going over in our data, but when we would check it ourselves on our phones or by going in to a store we were fine, but yet they would still charge us for it. Our phones didn't even last the year before they started dying out, but they wouldn't let us purchase new ones for anything less than $250. Then we moved to Taylor Mill and couldn't even get service in our own home. So now that we've cancelled our service 8 months early, they are trying to charge us $450 PER PHONE!!! Our contract clearly states that they can charge us UP TO $350 PER ACCOUNT, definitely not $450 and definitely not per phone. Signing a contract with Verizon was nothing but a constant hassle and rip-off. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. - 1.0 overall

By Teresa Reams-Raynor, posted: May 10I hope yall actually read these reviews & take our personal experience into consideration. I'm so happy that I didnt' get my wireless internet & my laptop from Verizon, What they were charging me, I would've still owed them 1 of my arms & both legs! I got both for soooooo much cheaper, same service & everything is working so great. So hope you all do research into places before spending all of your money.

By Toade, posted: May 2I have been a customer for four years. I have monitored my contract end date, because everytime I upgrade, the plan I have is OF COURSE no longer available; the new plans have less minutes, or less data, etc. AND COST MORE. The day was approaching so I switched to Straight Talk. All is GREAT! After making sure contacts changed over and notified, I call Verizon to cancel service. ONLY TO FIND OUT THE CONTRACT END DATE IS NOW END OF THIS MONTH!?!?!?! AND even if they still showed contract end date was last month, and it is now the second day of the following month, I HAVE TO PAY FOR THE ENTIRE MONTH!!!!!! FOR TWO DAYS OF SERVICE!!! They will not waive this month, and will charge me $120 each for my two phones to cancel today, because the contract end date is now different than last week. If you go with Verizon, coverage is great, but you will feel it in the wallet for sure. Prepare to grab your ankles....
1.0 overallVerizon is just like the other 3
By Jerryz, posted: Apr 24I have used Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile over the past 12 years. Look at all the complaints for the 4 companies on this website. All 4 lack great customer service, They all have service problems at one point or another, they are all after more and more money and if we switch, well, they get more money. If people are getting great service, they love their company. All 4 companies have those people. If people are not getting great service, they hate their company. All 4 companies have those people as well. What we have failed to learn is that we created these monsters because we want more and more, faster and faster, now, now, now. These companies don't care because as soon as you drop service and switch, someone is switching back to one of the other 3. It is a cycle and they are all in it together. Think about it. If you owned one of these companies, wouldn't you fix the billing issues, the customer care issues, the phone issues, give discounts to your loyal customers etc.etc. These companies just don't care because if they don't get the money from me or you they will get it from someone else. It is estimated there are almost 300 million devices with contracts with these 4 companies at an average of $80 per line. That is over $24 BILLION per month collectively. THAT'S WHY THEY DON'T CARE, PERIOD. If each customer kept their current provider but found a way to reduce services by about $20 per month per device, it would take from their pockets approximately 6 BILLION $$ per month collectively. Think that would open their eyes and make them change. We should try it.- 1.0 overall
Verizon wireless has a plan to recieve every last dollar they ca get from you.
By Dana Phillips, posted: Apr 18 - updated: Apr 19I have been with verizon for two to three years and the bill is never consistent. They don't care and they act like smart asses on the phone. Taking questions that you ask them and word it into a circle. So you can't understand their termonology. Like after paying bill they cut off your phone and charge you a disconnect fee. Then they say they credited to your account when they actually bill it to you! They are trained liars. When you speak to a supervisor about a misplaced payment, that they need to get that fixed first. They threaten you that you need to make arrangements for the remainder which is only $30.00. I then reply to the Supervisor , about her threatening attitude. And she says i'm only informing you what is in your best interest. When they are the ones that misplaced the Payment. They then don't contact you back, and act like assholes. Oh, I have had it with them. Thier always dreaming up a way to charge me with something. Oh, I could tell more on them but my blood pressure is going up. - 1.0 overall
Verizon is a MONOPOLY and FCC let them be one
By Abraham Algadi, posted: Apr 12I have been with Verizon and the companies they swallowed since mid 1990's. Their billing is never consistent and consumers have NO recourse whatsoever. They are nothing but greedy bastards and I will be switching my service even if it cost me a $1,000 bucks to do so. F(*7ck VZW - 1.0 overall
No help!
By Shannon K Orona, posted: Apr 11I've had Verizon Wireless since 1997 when it was LA Cellular. The rates have gone up and gone up and now that we're on a shared Data plan and we don't even use 1/4 of the data that we're being charged for our rate is over 200 a month and the old man's phone uses no data. I called Verizon and was told that they can only save me $20 a month to drop the usage, I asked if I cancel the plan what they would charge me, I was told $450.00. After being a loyal customer for 16 years you would think that there would be something else they could do. I am now going to Yelp and Google and putting a review under their name. Not that I am someone but if someone is looking to go to Verizon this may sway their thinking. Ok Rant over, almost. When i go to Direct TV or ATT and ask what they can do they are always so helpful in trying to figure out how to save their customers money. Ok Now done. - 1.0 overall
They will take your money and leave you with a broken device

Incompetent and do not care.
By Paul Gresham, posted: Mar 30Just got my fifth phone since last July. They sent phone that said SIM card press-installed but was not. When turned new phone on turned old phone off. I had 3 phone and none would work. Called customer service because they had not sent tool to install SIM in new phone but they did not tell me I could use a paper clip. I went by Verison store and had to wait half an hour to get SIM installed. When I called customer to find out how to get pictures off old phone, was told by supervisor to take data card out. When I told her my phone did not have a data card she told me all phones had data card. When I asked her to tell me where it was in the Galaxy Nexus she then told me it did not have a data card I could remove. Went back to store where clerk told me to Bluetooth pictures to new phone but after several minutes of trying told me it would not work but she did not know why. She also told me it was all my fault for buying a phone without a removable data card even though a sales person at the store had directed me to the Nexus last July. To Verizon the customer is always wrong! - 1.0 overall
Verizon is a money hungry company
By Sarah Mae Greenwood, posted: Mar 25I have been dealing with the same problem with Verizon since Sept. got a replacement phone they claim they never recieved damaged phone. They say customer is always wrong shut my phone off charged me $459.99 for phone I didnt even have along with late fees and reconnect fees. Also every phone call consists of over an hour each time cause the representatives dont know how to notate anything on the account so have to tell whole story over again. Poor poor customer service. I am reporting to the BBB and will file small claims for my money back. I have been ripped off and want my money back and to be treated fairly....sarah greenwood 6182041175
