Virgin Mobile a disappointment
By pmwhitehurst, posted: Nov 12In September I ordered a Kyocera Rise. By the first week of October I emailed them to say the phone was faulty and did not work correctly. They sent a replacement that would not even turn on. I sent the replacement back. They were supposed to send a replacement. On Nov. 20 I called to inform them I never received it. It was then they told me it was on back order. I'd received no notification from them prior to this. I asked for a refund instead, rather than wait for a replacement to be available as they had no idea when I could expect one'. I was informed a refund was no longer possible because it was past the 30 days since I ordered it, despite having an email trail that shows I was trying to work with them for a replacement since receiving the phone from them!. All they offered in lieu of bad service was to wait for a replacement (with no date when it would come), accept a replacement phone of lesser value (a Venture currently on sale for $20) or accept a $35 to $45 credit in lieu of the $100 phone plus $20 in shipping costs. I have been with this provider since 2009, but now realize they could care less and I am out over $100. I do not recommend them. - 1.0 overall
Virgin Mobile Has No Customer Service
By Paul Jarosy, posted: Nov 12I noticed on my card statement that I was charged 3 times for my monthly service. I called Virgin and after waiting on hold for 30 mins , I get a none english speaking person (surprise, surprise). After talking for over and hour, he tells me that it was computer error that caused this to happen and that they would issue a credit immediatley. It has been over 24 hrs and no credit issued yet. The only thing that happened was that they charged my account for the fourth time. I called again and after wasting my morning on hold and trying to understand the people, they tell me computer error again and will issue credit. I have been using virgin for about 4years and their overall service has gone done the toliet. I have swithed to T Mobile prepaid for service on 2 of my phones and just buy phones online unlocked. After this big pain I am ending my last phone with them. If you really are getting screwed by a mobile company fille a complaint with the FCC online. - 1.0 overall
Trust the bad reviews
By Steven Soulin, posted: Oct 12Purchased a HTC One V from VM online, phone arrive followed the activation procedure, was able to establish an account online but was not able to activate the phone itself, spent 1 1/2 hours on the phone with a very apologetic customer service agent, but it was hard to hear him clearly during the duration due to excessive background noise. Overall service was slow and took too long, agent was unable to help me so I requested a RMA # to send back the phone and cancel my plan. The HTC phone itself was nice and good quality, but I also noticed signal strength in my area (South Florida) was terrible, was told to go near a window by the agent, but that did not help if it doesn't work indoors or is spotty at best. Biggest issue was activation, was a futile attempt to fix and now I have to send the phone back at my expense, losing out on the expedited shipping to get it on top of it $20+! Virgin Mobile was a major disappointment for me! - 4.0 overall
Virgin Mobile-You Get What You Pay For
By HJThunderThreat, posted: Oct 12My experiences with virgin mobile has been fair. I had Virgin for roughly 5 years with not much problems. The phones are getting better. The plans are reasonable but the mobile service is not the best. Some times the siginal would be the best one day or two and on other days the service would be not up-to-par.Customer Service had not been bad as some have mentioned. I've made a dobule payment and called Virgin to correct the mistake. Virgin gave my money back and them some. I would tell people who are looking for a prepaid service to do their homework and check their addresses to see if their covered by virgins service. The only thing I don't care for on Virgin Mobile is the Virgin Mobile Live app.
1.0 overallGo ANYWHERE else!!!!
By Drumlin, posted: Oct 12For the love of God, don't go with Virgin Mobile!! I was paying for automatic top up for my daughter and son-in-law. The account was cancelled minutes after an automated payment. Obviously those minutes won't be used, but VM refuses to refund $70! I can't believe it!!! They're soooo bad, and the coverage area completely sucks. Go with ANY other carrier but them! Save yourself a whole lot of incredible frustration and hurt.- 1.0 overall

Not Worth It
By IndiaRAtkinson, posted: Sep 12Pros: The phones are expensive, but they do have some neat ones. My internet works better than on my At&t phone I had before. No contract (biggest plus). Cons: The customer service is awful. You will NEVER speak to someone who really speaks English; the reps are almost impossible to understand and have a difficult time if you use words beyond a 5th grade level. It is very annoying. With how much money they make, Virgin Mobile could hire America, Canadian, British, or anyone else who speaks English for its English speaking customers. The voice quality is hit and miss. There is always something wrong whether it be my phone literally not working, them not giving me credit for paying my bill, texts not coming in for hours or more. Final word, stay away. I was really hoping to like this company after having such a negative experience with At&t, but no. It is just as bad. If they hired new reps, it would be way better, but until then, stay far, far away. - 1.3 overall

Dont go to Vergin Mobil if you want Pay as you go.
By Robert Lloyd, posted: Aug 12My letter to them. Hi I entered into an account as pay as you go. I did not use your service for two weeks after my last payment expired. The phone was locked out by you for the two weeks so it could not be used. I have now changed the plan to an unlimited one but you want me to pay for the two weeks of lockout? Why would I do that on a Pay As You Go plan? If I am going to continue to use your service it must be that I do not back pay for your service while you have the service locked out…would you? Please respond before I purchase a new phone from a reasonable company. Thanks, Bob
