Great price from eBayProduct descriptionThe lightweight and versatile Plantronics Voyager 510 Bluetooth Headset delivers all-day wearing comfort, clearer voice transmission and superior sound quality. With exclusive Multipoint Technology, your headset seamlessly transforms into a powerful communication solution for up to two Bluetooth devices. For the ultimate in wireless freedom, look no further than the Plantronics Voyager 510 Bluetooth Headset, which represents a generational leap in Bluetooth headset technology. The 510 is comfortable and light enough for all day wear, and it offers unprecedented clarity and sound quality. With Multipoint technology you can switch between your voice-enabled Bluetooth mobile phone, PDA or laptop. The headset's smart technology knows which device you are using and allows you to take calls from any device at the touch of a button. The 510 features a noise-canceling microphone for clearer conversations, and it folds for easy storage. The boom also swivels for perfect positioning on either ear. One-touch call control buttons are placed for easy access, and you can easily redial the last number dialed and initiate voice-activated calls from the headset. Because the 510 is Bluetooth 1.2 specification enabled, you can roam up to 33 feet from your Bluetooth device. Meanwhile, the 510 supports adaptive frequency hopping (AFH) which helps avoid interference from wi-fi networks. Ample talk time is provided by the built-in rechargeable battery.
User reviews Great for the price, 2009-01-07 First off, I must say that this is the only bluetooth earpiece i've ever used. So, I don't have much to compare it to. However, reviewing it independently, it is a great headset for the price. As long as you aren't in a noisy environment, you can hear clearly. And, the headset itself seems to pick up voice clearly. It will also pick up other little noises clearly... so be careful where you use it. lol It seems to filter out noises like wind well. Best Blue Tooth Headset, 2009-01-06 I love this headset. My first Plantronics Voyager 510 was stolen. I bought another brand to replace it and hated it. I then purchased another Plantronics, at a considerably higher price (thinking if the 510 was so good, then a higher priced one would be better). I was wrong! I ended up returning it and ordering the 510 again. It has excellent sound quality on both ends. It does not pick up the sound of the motor running when I am driving and delivers a clear crisp sound for my listener. Not to mention it is very reasonably priced. Excellent product at excellent price, 2009-01-06 I always check Consumer Reports for ratings before purchasing goods. They rated this bluetooth as a "Best Buy" and it was rated excellent for sound quality. I figured that to be the most important feature in a bluetooth headset, so I ordered one some months ago from a seller on Ebay (for the same price as the 2 I bought on Amazon). I LOVE mine...so, for Christmas I ordered one for my husband and one for his daughter--ad they both LOVE them, too. If I have any 'criticism' whatsoever, it is that the headset is easily 'bumped off' the ear by a coat collar, etc., but its not like you wouldn't notice it ;-). The sound quality is excellent--so much better than trying to hold a rigid cell phone up to your ear to try to hear someone talking. My husband has diminished hearing and this has been wonderful for him, as he can adjust the volume accordingly. In short, we think these are great! Not only that, the price on Amazon is less than 50% of the manufacturer's website price. It is an excellent buy in my opinion. Blue Tooth Headset, 2009-01-06 Very good. Got it as a replacement for my old 510 which got washed. have always been pleased with this set and like the new no light feature. Works Well, 2009-01-06 Although I did not buy this for myself, I feel I can give a perspective to it's quality. I bought this for my brother-in-law for Christmas. I have spoken to him on it and had to ask if he was using the headset. So, for people on the other end of the phone, this is a great headset. The only problem with it, however, is a problem all bluetooth headsets experience. The user looks like a jerk if they are wearing it anyplace other that their car or while at their desk. One time, a guy was wearing one while playing softball. I mean come on, he was up at bat and the blue thing was blinking away...unbelievable. But yeah, this Plantronics job seems like a pretty good product.
