User reviews Made in Japan???, 2008-10-21 I would like to know if this battery was made in Japan, because the Korean version DOES NOT hold a charge. Excellent Performance at a Bargain Price, 2008-09-19 Received my new battery promptly and was very pleased to find that it is a brand-new, genuine, LG Brand Battery -- with 1700 mAh capacity.
Many other "extended" batteries that were available from other vendors were after-market brands with only 1400 mAh capacity.
This genuine LG 1700 mAh battery is thicker than the original, and requires a replacement door -- which I also purchased at a ridiculouly-low price from Amazon.com --- The LG VX8100 phone is slightly thicker and slightly heavier with the more powerful and longer-lasting battery in place, but it's WELL worth the slight increase in heft to gain the GREATLY-INCREASED talk and standby times.
PERFECT for your VX3200, VX3300, VX4500, VX4700, VX6100, and VX8100 LG Phones. Don't leave home without it !!
Peace.
Slik Inexpensive way to revive the VX8100, 2008-08-03 I bought this to replace a dying battery for an LG VX8100, which was getting about one hour of talk time at the most.
This product works much better than I'd expected. During my first trial with it, the battery lasted for about 4 days, with six to seven hours of talk time.
Of course, the phone is heavier with this battery, probably about 25% more than with the standard battery. The weight difference isn't that noticeable, and if it were, you'd probably be better off with a lighter phone such as a RAZR. good one, 2008-07-27 this unit is great. 2-3 days till i have to charge it. but i think i smell raidiation when it smokes. made my phone stick to my ear the first time. beware the size, 2008-03-25 The battery fits but the battery is 1/8" thicker than the standard size battery. I needed the bigger capacity cover for my cell phone (VX3200).
I decided against the extra thickness and exchanged them (I'd bought 2) for the standard sized batteries. I spent five minutes trying figuring out why they wouldn't fit before I realized the label was on backward.
