User reviews

Impressed with the BlueAnt Interphone, 2008-12-21
This Interphone has great volume and clarity (with module helmet). With all the varies battery reviews, I wanted to test it myself. We charged them and left them on "Standyby" (we did not connect our cell phones to the unit). Standyby time was over 4 days. It was on, but not connected to talk to the other unit. After recharing, we decided to check the actual talk time. We kept each unit open to talk at any moment. This was only about 4 hours. When we used them only when we wanted to talk to each other (which is not the entire trip) they lasted all day without a problem.

The distance is based on the line of sight. We were in the mountains and when taking curvy roads, you do not get the full 490 feet. Straight highway runs - 490 feet is easy.

For long trips, you can buy a separate battery charger, for those who have a cig plug. Not sure you would be able to "charge while riding." You can use google search engine to find them for about $10.00

My only complaint is that you are not able to connect more than 2 units, not 3 or 4. So group rides with communication is still not an option.

Other than that - worth the money!

good sound, but not good enough product, 2008-12-21
i bought my interphone and it worked just fine like one or two months

but then i started having some troubles with the batteries. It started to sound like battery went down, but the intercom continued to work fine till the end of the day. Now, no matter how many times i charge it, its always beeping like the battery is down.

But the real problem i had was with the mic. The mic stays in place with two little plastic strings that after like 6 months broke, and left the mic holding in place with just the wires. Sooner or later it was going to happen. Wires broke and mic was disconnected.

For a 100$ just 6 months working... not such a good deal

By the way, now i have a midland bt rider... and it really have a worst sound quality but it seems to be a more quality manufactured product

  Interphone Bluetooth, 2008-12-21
This product works great with my icon full face. you can hear it clear with the visor up or down and it doesnt matter what speed you are going. i have a sport tuned exhaust and its loud but it does not distort your voice through the microphone. Overall this product is definitly a great buy!!

  wow really nice, 2008-11-25
Works great, told it sounds like I am setting home on the sofa. No wind noise. Got new phone no voice dial,(hafta buy it) Best unit I have used.

Huh, what did you say? What? What was that?..... &^&%$, 2008-10-30
After reading some glowing recommendations of this product, I feel as though I must have gotten a different product than what you all described. After installing this into 3/4 helmet, I was excited to be able to finally speak with my wife during my daily drive through LA traffic to work. She is pregnant and due soon, and I was nervous about being out of touch for an hour drive each way. As I left the house, I gave her a quick call to check how it works. At about 25 MPH and below, with the face shield down and locked, it works ok. But as I got up to highway speed, it was horrible. At 40 miles per hour, I could barely discern her voice over the wind noise. And this was after I put the bluetooth into LOUD mode. I stopped and readjusted the speaker, but it did no good. I couldn't hear a word she was saying. And the last words that I could hear from her as I sped up was "The wind noise is too loud. What did you say?"
In all honesty, this thing is useless to me. I have sent three days trying to get this thing adjusted to be intelligible at all. I am not hard of hearing. I use my iPod all the time. But unless there is some severe defect with my particular device, I really don't know what all the excitement is about.

Blurry Video of the G2 (Kogan Agora Android phone) in Action

    Kogan Agora in Action

I hope I didn't mislead you with that title. This is not the mythical "G2," as in T-Mobile's G1 successor. This is, however, the "G2" as in the second Google Android phone to hit the market. Kogan's Agora and Agora Pro run Android and are set to ship at the end of this month. Here's some rather poor footage of what looks to be a rather awesome phone in action. I found this clip, I didn't shoot it - the video comes from YouTube user...

    iPhone as heart/cardio monitor

I should exercise. No, really — I need to back off from the keyboard, take the Twinkie out of my mouth and go for a run or something. I should, but I don’t. Working out has never given me big results, so I simply stopped. That I’m not 200 lbs by now is a factor of genetics (thanks, Mom and Dad!) and decent nutrition (minus the occasional junk food jones). Still, walking to the grocery store and getting lapped by the senior citizens in my hood is...

    iPhone slideshows, Keynote app

Feeling let down about the keynote address at MacWorld? Yeah, me too. Phil Schiller did a decent job, but he’s not the showman that Steve Jobs is. And the biggest phone-related news had to do with DRM-free tunes and 3G music downloads. (While a step in the right direction, it’s certainly not game-changing — after all, Amazon has had DRM-less tunes for ages). Through all this, however, it may be easy to overlook that there were a couple of kinda...

    Resolutions for 2009

    Resolutions for 2009

In Korean households, New Year’s day is a time for family. We spend the first of the year together, eating a traditional soup called Duk Kuk, a rice cake dish with savory broth. (It’s sort of like Thanksgiving turkey here in the States.) We gather to wish each other good luck and fortune, and to delight in our loved ones. But from the moment the countdown zeroed out on Wednesday night throughout the next day, my cell was deluged with messages...
