  Ce;; phone signal amplifier, 2009-11-21
The signal amplifier only worked when I was near a cell phone transmitting antenna. That's when the green light illuminated.

  worked, 2009-11-19
This works as described. I went from 0-1 bars to a steady 3-4 bars. -1 star only because it only works for 1 phone at a time. I did have a little trouble setting up. I could not get the red light to go green, even when all appeared set up correct. All I did to fix it was unplug and replug it in and it went to green and worked like a charm.

This little beauty increased my 1 bar of cell service to a constant 5 bars and edge network too.
The pricing was excellent as well.

  placement is key, 2009-11-13
I bought the zboost personal extender just over a month ago. Before I bought the product I read many reviews and most were very mixed. When I got it i tried many places of placement. For the first two weeks i had the antenna ( black ) and the receiver ( white ) in the same room. The zboost got the job done with 1 or two bars. It wast until i moved the receiver to another room that the performance skyrocketed. My room is in the basement where there is no service any where down there ever. i get 3 bars or higher every where now. i placed my antenna upstairs in the room above mine and used Velcro to mount it to the window. Then i drilled in the floor upstairs to downstairs and mounted my antenna low and used every inch of the antenna cord. Placement is key when using this product but other than that one thing its an awesome product. My advise when setting it up is take your time. Really spread the two apart and leave your cellphone in the spot where the receiver will go before you mount anything. test test test.

Device works pretty well, if setup correctly..., 2009-11-10
I read most of the product reviews listed here before I purchased the zBoost YX300-PCS/CEL Signal Booster, 50 % positive isn't bad. There are a few IMPORTANT things to point out. As mentioned in previous posts, this will not create a non-existant signal. If you have no cell signal within 10-15 feet of the target area, don't purchase the device. Another behavior other customers were concerned about was the flashing red light. We haven't had to power cycle the device because of a flashing red light yet. My observations have been, if the device is seperated from the antenna correctly and obtaining a signal from the cell tower, the light should remain a solid green. If you see a flashing red light, something is wrong. Either move the device to receive a signal or verify the antenna is properly seperated. A flashing green light indicates data transfer or a mobile telephone call is in progress. I have it plugged into a power strip with a power switch, in the event it needs to be power cycled. As previously mentioned, it will only service one mobile device at a given time and has a very limited range, generally 2-4 feet (as with all radio equipment, it's based on atmospheric conditions). The closer your cell phone is located to the transmitting antenna (black piece), the better. My configuration has the white box in a window above the patio door, with the antenna cord wrapped around to a sofa about 10 feet away from the box. The antenna is positioned vertically, behind the sofa, against the wall. For the perceptive folks out there, you probably guessed that the sofa gets the best signal in the room. It's worth the $59 if you have the correct environment. I hope this helps someone.
