  Power issue, 2008-12-20
The good news is that it charges my Blackberry 8820 just fine. It charges the battery just fine. It synchs to my laptop just fine. The bad news is that it has some problem where whenever I plug the USB into my laptop, whether the blackberry is in the cradle or not, it causes my touchpad to malfunction. This is on all 3 USB spots. I have never had a problem with my touchpad with any other device or with the blackberry when not using the cradle. No idea what the issue is, but I will keep on trouble shooting and working with bargain cell to resolve.

Upon experimenting it seems the power converter was bad (it started emitting a high pitched squeal). Having switched to the blackberry power supply to power the cradle it seems to work ok. still I'll give it one more star because it seems to work now, but it would still be only 3 stars.

  Issue with battery connection, 2008-09-02
After just a few recharges the battery connection had to be pulled out to properly connect. I am not sure that this is actually OEM'ed equipment. It looks like a knock-off.

My Blackberry's USB port broke (I could not sync it with my computer or use the standard wall outlet charger) so I looked into getting the phone fixed. The cost of repairing the phone was upwards of $60, so I visited a Radioshack location and they recommended this product. It is a hassle to remove the battery every night to charge the phone but the product works great. There is a light indicator so you know when charging is complete, and chagring normally takes under two hours. I would recommend this product for anyone in a similar situation.

  Read before you buy!, 2008-06-16
This cradle is very good for its price. However do beware of the extention usb cable that suppose to charge your phone - doesn't charge. I contacted Eforcity, and they did allow an exchange. After received the new unit. Same problem. The extention cable will wait about 5 sec before it start to charge, and lost charge after another 5 sec.

I give up for the exchange. However, if you had another blackberry usb wall charger, you can resolve this problem by plug TWO WALL chargers, one to charge the battery in the battery slot (which works great) and another wall charge directly into the phone.

The extention usb charger... is pretty much worthless. Spend more money to buy a better one, or just spend 5 more dollars to buy another wall charger.
