Joining the ranks of the disappointed, 2008-09-04
I have used several Plantronic BT headsets and was very excited about this one.
I must admit to being very disappointed after using this headset for a week or two. The thing is very hard to keep in your ear - although I will say honestly that the included soft rubber moldable buds work well, even if they seal your ear almost uncomfortably tight.
If you use the required over-the-ear loop for the stereo, the angle of the (non-flexible) loop makes the thing stick WAY out from your face - to the point that I had frequent complaints that people could not hear me. And if I was walking in the slightest breeze, the wind noise made all signals totally unintelligible.
The sound quality and available volume are only so-so. I have had other bluetooth stereo headsets, so I know that they are not the greatest sound, but the other BT's were not only better quality sound, they could play loud enough to HEAR the music. I was constantly fiddling with the Plantronic's position and both the headset and phone volume controls to be able to hear clearly.
If you want to listen to music at work or for more than a short time, the advertised "listening" time is 6 hours. I never saw that much before the battery died, even when I did not use the cell phone. I never made it through a full day without a dead battery.
The last straw for me was when the headset lost stereo less than two weeks after I bought it. I could hear the stereo cut in and out when I wiggled the headset earloop connector, but then it finally died completely.
The headset section works well enough, but the quality when using it that way (no stereo) is no better than a much less expensive model. And if I wanted a great BT headset without the stereo feature, I ould have spent the same money on a different unit.
Thankfully this is not my first experience with Plantronic products, which by-and-large I like. Either this one is poorly designed, or maybe I just got a lemon. At this point, my only hope is to return it. I am willing to give it the benefit of the doubt and try a replacement. Once. If its the design, then forget it. I want a refund.

  Great Value, 2008-09-02
I purchased this from Amazon earlier in the year. I have a Motorola MotoKRZR K1. This bluetooth is one of the best I've seen for the price range. It is simple to use, predictable, and has enough features to keep me happy. I was looking for a new BT to go with the new KRZR. The KRZR is a stereo BT phone so I was looking for a Stereo BT headset to go with it so I could use it while I was working out at the gym. I received the product and plugged it in right away to charge. The indicator LED glows Red when it is charging and when you are turning it off. Once it charged (only a bout 3 hours to fully charge) I connected to the phone. the KRZR recognized it right away. All of the BT features worked as described. They recommend that you wear the BT on the same side of your body as the phone for the clearest signal. To everyone who is irritated by this, think about it. the BT and the phone have to put out enough radiation to not only penetrate your clothes but also your body mass to make the handshake. How much energy do you want zipping through your body just to hear someone clearly? Anyway. the volume buttons and the mute buttons worked well and were easy to use despite their small size. When switching to music, the button functions changed as they should according to the manual. It is nice to be able to pause the music without having to pull out the phone. I did have the usual problem with the ear buds. First, it comes with 3 sizes of silicone buds and one set of memory foam buds. the 3 silicone sizes was OK and one fit well but it made my ear sore after a while of wearing it. I switched to the foam ones and that made it much more comfortable. The only other thing with the ear buds is the fact that when you are not on the phone, it blocks the sound to your ear. I found that to be annoying sometimes when driving. There are a couple of ear clips that come with it. It can be worn without the clip but I've fount that the foam buds pop out easier so the clip is necessary (for me anyway) if I'm moving around. You must use the clip if you want the Stereo function. Unfortunately, the clip is only in one size and it's rather large. The whole unit tends to fall out while I work out so I have to keep pushing it back into my ear from time to time. Other than that, it works great and I love it!

  very good. not perfect, 2008-08-31
The 885 is a very good quality product. Clear reception and volume when talking. The negative is the weight of the product. Falls out of my ear due to its weight. My old 645 was much light and fit better in the ear. The buttons are difficult due to small size especially when wearing it; it falls out when I try to adjust volume. Ultimately, I wanted sound quality and that is what I got. I can deal with the fit by using the ear hook.

  It's a decent headset, 2008-08-30
I actually liked this headset. I had one previous to this (forgot which model) and I think this one was overall better. I could hear the person on the other line very well, no problem there. The only part that underperformed was the microphone. The other person could hear me fine when in quite areas. The microphone would pick up everything to a certain degree.

A feature that I loved, but many may not need, is the ability to listen to music. The only downside to this is that sometimes the songs would skip if you held the phone to far away from the headset, which is about the length of my arm (sorry don't know how long that is).

Overall a decent headset and had a cool feature that I liked.

The product is good and works fine. But the signal of the bluetooth is little bit weak.
