Great price from eBayProduct descriptioninvisibleSHIELD for the BlackBerry 8310 Curve (Full Body)
User reviews Good product but not a perfect fit for the 8330, 2008-09-25 A note of caution for those looking to use this with their Blackberry Curve for Sprint or Verizon. Despite the product title, this is not the correct Invisible Shield for the 8330. It's close but not perfect. The piece for the screen is just a little too small for the 8330 and there are extra pieces for the bezel above the screen on the 8300, 8310 and 8320.
Despite this, it seems like it will do a good job protecting both the screen and body from scratches. Try Invisible Shield's web site if you need this for the 8330. Amazing Protection With No Bulk, 2008-07-15 I have used several of Zaggs Invisible Shields and they provide a high level of protection with no bulk and they are, as the name suggests, invisible. The shield is a series of custom sized plastic films to cover key areas of your phone (e.g., screen, case, etc.)
Once they are installed they are totally scratchproof and they seem to make any flimsy parts seem more rigid. The claim that this material was developed originally for military applications seems right given how tough it is. In addition, there is enough texture on the film to make your device more secure from slipping while in your hand or on a smooth surface, like in your car. With no added bulk you can still use any other case or holster for even more protection, but I just toss it in my pocket and don't worry about scratches from keys or anything else. The film stays where you put it and does not peel off, even after years of use. But when you do want to remove it, the film can be lifted off with no damage to the underlying surface.
Installing the shield system takes patience. You need to spray the film with an included liquid and place it on the appropriate part of your phone. Placing the film, especially on curved surfaces, can be challenging. Make sure you allocate enough time to properly install the films. It took me over 30 minutes for my Blackberry, and I was familiar with the system.
In the end, this is a great product which will protect your Blackberry or other handheld device like nothing else. Well worth the cost and time needed to install. I will never own another phone with out the invisible shield.
