The Discovery 925 is designed to follow the contours of your cheek. It features a filtered glass bead that's been blasted and anodized for a ceramic high-gloss elegant finish. The ultra-lightweight design offers a secure comfortable fit so you can stay connected hands-free for hours. And the earpiece includes three uniquely shaped gel eartips--small, medium and large--that are designed to conform snugly to the contours of your ear without the need for an earloop stabilizer, so nothing will interfere with earrings or eyewear.
Once you place the earpiece into your ear, making calls is as simple as it gets. It has a multi-function button on the diamond-shaped face that powers the device, dials or releases calls, triggers voice dialing, or kicks the earpiece into pairing mode. A second button lets you control the volume. For voice clarity, a 1.9-inch boom brings the microphone closer to your mouth to reduce background noise as you talk. The boom mic also houses the earpiece's antenna. And finally, a micro-USB port is located on the side of the earpiece for charging.
AudioIQ Noise Control and On-the-Go Charging
The Discovery 925 features AudioIQ technology that blocks out annoying background noise in most situations, giving you clear calls every time. The earpiece lets you roam up to 33 feet from your Bluetooth phone and it supports multipoint technology, which allows two Bluetooth devices to be paired to the earpiece. This means you can receive and make calls from two of your phones without having to switch earpieces.
The Discovery 925 runs on a rechargeable lithium ion battery that gives you up to five hours of talk time and up to seven days of standby time from a single charge. And when the earpiece is not in use, you can store it in its unique color-coordinated case, which performs double duty with its sturdy but stylish construction and its integrated rechargeable battery. Not only will the case protect the earpiece from everyday hazards, but it will also keep your earpiece charged. Simply charge the case directly with the included AC charger or USB cable--with or without the earpiece in place--and when fully charged, it will have enough power provide your earpiece up to five hours of talk time for when you need it.
Of course you can still charge the ear piece directly with the AC charger, but with this convenient recharging case, you don't have to worry about your earpiece running out of power while you're on the go. Just place your earpiece in the case, and safely store it in your handbag or briefcase. When you're ready to use it again, it will be fully charged with enough power for up to five hours of talk time.

Best bluetooth headset ever used, 2008-09-07
I've always avoided using bluetooth headsets because I could never hear out of them and they always felt uncomfortable in my ear.
This is the first headset that I can hear out of and I can wear it in my ear for hours without even thinking about it.
I love the re-charging case. When I'm finished using the headset, I just put it back in the case and next time I use it, it has a full charge again. I just have to remember to charge the case as well.
The voice dialing feature works great with my cell phone too.
I would definitely recommend this headset.

it's a shame that Plantronics or any other Bluetooth vendor barely tests their products or just makes a product and they send it out into the world hoping that quantity sales makes their products seem as if they are quality products. What they don't realize is that bad reviews will eventually catch up. I was standing at BestBuy and talking to someone who said "I've tried almost all of them and they aren't worth it." I would agree with that, I've yet to try a Bluetooth headset that is worth buying and this one is no exception.
In terms of performance this one is not very good because it picks up ALL background noises, despite it claims to do the opposite. money well spent!, 2008-09-07
this ear pierce is hands down worth the cost. much better than the 655 model,and as for all that negetive talk about not being able to talk at 33ft without the static,well I put it through the test and it passed with flying colors.I also admire the simple one touch volume control, the charging pouch, and charged talk time between charges. once again money well spent!!!!! Wow. What can I say. This product really is awesome. The 3 sizes of ear pieces make the comfort of wearing the Plantronics Discovery 925 Bluetooth amazing. It's so comfortable that I keep forgetting that I have it on. The sound quality on my end is also very loud and clear. When I ask those I'm talking to how clear I'm coming through, they all say that the clarity on their end was great. Having bought at least 12 prior Bluetooth headsets, I have finally found the one! This is the only one I've seen that fits well, even when walking - just won't fall out. Pairing, volume & fit are all exceptional. Light weight as well.
