The cable works fine, but the software appears to be nothing more than a list of vendors from whom the actual software could be downloaded... An absulute waste of money for the u340, 2008-11-08
I bought this for my cheaper Samsung u340, and not only can't I get any pictures out of the camera-phone, I can't get any wallpapers or simple MIDI ringtones in it either. In fact, my computer doesn't even recognize that anything's plugged at all! Given that I downloaded the driver directly from Samsung's support site, this should have worked, but instead all I got was about $6 taken from my wallet. Maybe I need to upgrade to the u410. It gives you everything you need- file transfers, USB charging, and tethering (if you know how). Does everything it should. Nothing more, nothing less. 4/5 The CD does not have drivers. Useless., 2008-10-25
I bought the product because one review said it works with Samsung SCH-U410, but it does not.
The "MEGA" CD came with the cable does not have usb driver as it claimed. It only provides you the links (references) to the companies that support the drivers of various mobile phones. Once you follow the link, you have to buy the cable and drivers from those companies.
Without the driver, this product is useless. End up I wasted a lot of time tried to download software/drivers from different places (include Verizon, Samsung, ..etc.) and none of them work.
