User reviews

"Noise Assassin" is not as good as the fit is bad., 2009-11-22
I don't care how well the "Noise Assassin" works, this product just doesn't fit. Zero out of six ear-buds fit in my ear and keep the unit in place, with or without the hook. Any type of movement (e.g.: talking) will wiggle the thing out of my ear and off of my head. I have read all of the reviews with solutions such as the Jabra ear gels, but for $60 the Jawbone 2 should fit perfectly straight out of the package with the included ear-buds.

When it does work, the sound is very tinny, but that is expected from such a small speaker.

In all, the Jawbone 2 should accomplish one task: it should enable me to make hands-free phone calls. It doesn't.

Lousy fit and ergonomics, great sound, 2009-11-18
The Jawbone may perform admirably as far as technology. I generally don't care about that so much, not having a sports car, and trying to avoid loud environments when I'm on a conference call.

My issues are that the unit simply doesn't work well. I've tried all the different tips, including the available free additional tips and none of them stay in my ear. You can jam the thing in there but it slowly works its way out over the course of a couple of minutes. And since the only button is the external body of the unit, if you try to press it back in you end up hanging up the call. Great idea not to have a button or anything. Similarly if you try and turn the thing off or on, you hold down the "button" and you'll find your thumb covers up the little red/green light that tells you whether its on or not. Stupid.

  Great Device, 2009-11-17
Have had this for a little over 6 months now and love it. It is the third bluetooth device I have had and by far the best one. Sound quality is good...people could tell I was not talking on a land line, but I was easy to understand. What I like best about this device is that it is the only one I have found that fits in my ear, and stays in my ear, without having to use an ear loop. It fits easily in my ear and passes the "shake test"...shaking my head around to see if it stays in place...which it does. Granted, the controls take a little getting used to, but the way it is designed helps with the style. I don't like to walk around with a huge piece of hardware stuck in my ear. For the price, this is the most comfortable and stable bluetooth I have found and it paired easily with my iPhone.

  Just OK, 2009-11-16
Like others have posted, fit is an issue. For the Noise Assassin feature to work, the device must be in contact with your face. The flimsy ear loop and impossible-to-fit ear piece makes this takes difficult at best. The sound quality is really no better than other bluetooth headsets I have used. Does not really live up to the hype, and is overpriced in my opinion.

Better than the original, yes., 2009-11-13
I was moved to get this one, as the original didn't really "assassinate" noise all that well while driving, even with the car windows closed. This one isn't much better for that purpose. It's smaller, and the design is really nice, and voice quality seems to be okay if in a quiet room. Better than the original, yes - is it the best, not really sure about that. If not for the added expense of buying yet another bluetooth headset, this is the fourth I've tried, I'd probably give one of the Plantronics ones a go.
