  Best there is, but could use improvement., 2009-11-22
Good:

High level of protection.
Water resistant.
Adds a nice comfy feel to the otherwise small, delicate feel of the iPhone.
Doesn't affect sound or voice quality.
All of the push buttons work very well.
Looks nice.

Needs improvement:

Very easy to fall out of holster.
Somewhat difficult to turn it off of vibrate.
Hard to get "bubbles" out of screen protector.
Some aftermarket chargers (Griffin coiled) will not fit or are very tight.
Some audio jack plugs will not fit.
If the phone is flat on it's back, it is not slide resistant.


Overall:

I really like the case, but would love it if the sliding out of the holster problem would be fixed.

Great Product! Really protects the phone, and still allows for full functionality. My only complaint is that it prevents the phone from being docked in the Bose system, which isn't that big of a deal since you can buy extension cables for it. Overall I'm very satisfied with the otterbox, and the price through Amazon was great.

 

  Nice protection, but the belt clip needs work, 2009-11-21
I bought the Otterbox because I like to have the phone clipped to my belt. I really like the rubber case that goes around the phone, it provides excellent protection for the phone. This is a great feature albeit a necessary one. The biggest drawback to this system is the plastic belt clip and phone holder. The clip holds the phone in with 2 plastic "nibs" on the side that click into 2 corresponding indents on the case. Unfortunately, these clips do not hold the phone very securely. I have had my phone fall out of the case at least 6 times in the month and a half I have had it. So far the protective rubber shell has done its job and the phone has survived several drops to the pavement. My fear is it will fall out and I won't hear it hit the ground and someone will get themselves a nice iphone! If the clip system was more secure, this would be the perfect system. Just beware.

Only 2 negatives, first the watermark on the screen, then the belt does not hold the phone well.

Great protection for an Iphone. Not too comfortable with the belt clip though. If you catch the top of the phone on something while standing up the phone will just fall right out. Other than that I love it.
